Optimized wait
This is one of the main novelties that we see in the new version of the system, which is the improvement of a facet that already existed in the first version of the Realme layer.
This optimized standby mode offers us precisely that, better energy management when we are not using the phone and it is on standby. This is where many functions come in the background that can gradually pierce the autonomy of the phone. So now in this section we have three options:
Ultra standby mode: this mode takes energy consumption control to the extreme when we are not using the phone. For this, the largest number of apps is closed in the background with the aim that they consume less battery as a whole. Above all, we will notice this reduction in consumption at night. Against it, it must be said that notifications from some apps may arrive later than usual.
Balanced mode: if we activate this mode we achieve a reduction in energy consumption, but this is not as marked as in the other mode. Since not so many apps are closed and also the phone turns mainly to limit notifications so that less energy is consumed in the background.
By deactivating these modes we can choose that none of these options are active while the phone is at rest, in this way we will not notice any reduction in consumption , and therefore we will have all the power, performance and apps at our disposal, without cuts.
Optimized night charging
This is another of the functions that we see in Realme Ui 2.0, and that, as you can imagine, turns into charging the phone. This is not always as efficient as we would like, and for that reason we have this option at our fingertips. With it, when the phone is charged at night, which is many times, we will be able to achieve, above all, increase the useful life of the battery , preventing it from rapidly degrading due to not managing the charges well.
If we activate this function, our Realme will memorize our daily charging routines in order to adapt the speed of the night charge to the time the phone is inactive. This means that if we usually sleep from 00:00 to 7:00, the phone will reduce the charging speed to fill its battery slowly during those seven hours or a little less, whatever is necessary for the charge to be completely safe. In this way, the battery will not degrade so quickly and will offer all the possible performance for a longer time, something that will logically translate into more hours of autonomy during its useful life.
How do we activate these functions?
Well, it’s very simple, because Realme has added them to its new layer based on Android 11, restructuring the menu to add these new functionalities. To do this, you have to do the following:

- Enter “Battery”
- Select “More Drum Settings”
- Click on “Optimized wait”
In the case of optimized nighttime charging, we can activate it directly from the ” more battery settings ” menu that we find at the root of this battery management menu. Therefore, as you can see, Realme has been concerned above all with enhancing the management of the battery in the background when the phone is inactive, which is the time when we usually always appreciate a higher battery consumption, which can be produced especially by a lack of optimization of the use of apps.
