Nokia has remained in a comfortable background throughout 2020. No major launches but following a line of new product presentations aimed at meeting the needs of users who seek performance and a good price rather than the most cutting-edge technology on the market.
Now we are at the doors of the presentation of a new model, the Nokia 9.3 PureView that will be presented along with two other mid-range devices but the news that has jumped (as soon as it has disappeared) in the last hours is the update schedule Android 11 for smartphones of the brand. HMD Global, seems to have revealed all the information about the launch of the new operating system for their devices to regret moments later.
The brand has published a few hours ago the image that appears just above these lines, confirming dates and models that will receive the new Google software update. However, there seems to be a need to check some details as the timeline was quickly removed after it was posted.
Nokia phones with Android 11
While waiting to know some small change in this Nokia mobile update schedule, according to the image published by HMD Global, we could expect to see Android 11 OTA updates on the following mobiles:
Last quarter of 2020
- Nokia 8.3 5G
- Nokia 2.2
- Nokia 5.3
- Nokia 8.1
Throughout 2021
The next devices to receive the update would be, in the first quarter of next year, the:
- Nokia 1.3
- Nokia 4.2
- Nokia 2.4
- Nokia 2.3
- Nokia 3.4
After them, it would be the turn of 3 mobiles that will receive the Android 11 update sometime between the first and second quarter of 2021:
- Nokia 3.2
- Nokia 7.2
- Nokia 6.2
Finally, we have 2 more mobiles that would receive the update in the second quarter of 2021
- Nokia 1 Plus
- Nokia 9 PureView
At this point it is worth noting that Nokia phones are part of the Android One program, which means that they receive Android updates quite quickly compared to other OEMs. The reason why the image of i mediato has been withdrawn is a mystery because it may be due to an error present in it or that the brand will wait to publish it during the launch of the new Nokia 9.3 PureView, which may come with the Nokia 7.3, Nokia 6.3 with Android 11 ready to use as the operating system.
