New Leak of the Xiaomi Mi Band 6: What’s Going on?

As we advanced last week, reviewing some of the main differences of the future Xiaomi bracelet with the current Mi Band 5, the Mi Band 6 is currently in the last stage of development. Thanks to this, now we can find what would be the first image of the device, which advances a possible screenshot of it.

Just as the Mi Band 5 was very similar to the Mi Band 4, the Mi Band 6 will be very similar to the current Chinese manufacturer’s smart bracelet , boasting a rectangular format OLED color screen . Today a user of the Geekdoing forum has discovered some interesting details about the bracelet and has shared what is, for the moment, the first real photograph of the device.

Shaping the Mi Band 6

As we all know, the Mi Bands are designed and manufactured by Huami and none of this is going to change in the next Xiaomi smart bracelet. The Mi Band 6 is internally known as “Pangu” and sports the model number XMSH16HM. Depending on the market, there will be at least two versions of the smartband again, one with NFC support and the other without NFC support, which would remain exclusive to China.

So far the similarities with the Mi Band 5 but several reports warn that the Mi Band 6 will present features such as a SpO2 sensor to measure blood oxygen levels in real time, just as they already have many other alternatives from the competition. In select markets, the Mi Band 6 is also expected to offer support for the virtual voice assistant Amazon Alexa although Spain will surely be left out, once again, of the chosen ones.

As we alerted last week, compared to the Mi Band 5 , it is likely that the new Xiaomi smartband has a slightly larger screen and a higher resolution compared to the current bracelet, but it would not be too drastic a change, as it would hardly be 0.1 or 0.2 inch.

In addition to that, the Mi Band 6 could also be the first Xiaomi bracelet to have a GPS integrated in the device to help cyclists and runners keep track of their routes independently of the smartphone.

With these developments, it is to be expected that the price of the Chinese manufacturer’s smart bracelet will increase slightly and it will be sold in our country at around 45 euros, but there is still no confirmation in this regard.
