Motorola is experiencing a second resurgence, savoring the high-end with the launch of the Motorola Edge Plus. However, in Spain the standard variant has landed, which will try to make a hole in the tight mid-range, fighting against more than powerful rivals such as the OPPO Find X2 Neo, with which we have just faced to see the main differences and advantages of one mobile over another.
The creators of the Moto G, Moto One and other mid-range families have wanted to make the jump to high-end in 2020. However, when the company sets foot on the ground, it attacks where it knows best with devices like the Motorola Edge. Just opposite has OPPO with its Find X2, so we are facing two 5G devices with a lot to offer in its most outstanding sections.
Screen and dimensions
The first thing we have to look at is the screen of both terminals. The largest size is for the Motorola Edge, which reaches no less than 6.7 inches, compared to 6.5 inches for the OPPO Find X2 Neo. Both terminals have a FullHD + resolution , a 90 Hz refresh rate screen and a hole to house the front camera. However, having a smaller size, the pixel density per inch is slightly higher in the OPPO with its 402 dpi compared to the 385 dpi of the Motorola.

When putting them in the pocket, the user will be more comfortable with the Find X2 , since the difference in weight and thickness is remarkable, with its 171 grams and only 7.7 millimeters thick. However, there is a huge difference in memories. While the Edge has 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, the OPPO doubles this capacity with its 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. However, the Edge can increase this capacity using microSD cards, something the Find X2 Neo cannot do. Both have UFS 2.1 read / write technology.
Four cameras and only one with 64MP
The bets in the photographic section are very different and it is in this section where many users can take the path for one or the other. The Motorola Edge gets on the bandwagon of all four cameras, leading are a 64-megapixel main sensor, a 16-megapixel wide angle, an 8-megapixel wide-angle and a fourth ToF sensor. On its front it sports a 25 megapixel sensor.
OPPO has made a more conservative bet, but also with four sensors. In this case, it leads a 48-megapixel sensor, and it has an 8-megapixel wide-angle, 13-megapixel telephoto lens and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor. The two devices have been born with Android 10 in their womb, and it is expected that they will be among the first on the list to be able to test Android 11. Both have the main connections including the aforementioned 5G, Bluetooth 5.1 or NFC, however, The advantage for many is that the Motorola maintains the 3.5mm headphone jack, which OPPO has considered not integrating into the design of its Find X2 Neo.
Battery and fast charge
If we look at autonomy, few terminals can cough OPPO, which has the most advanced fast charging technology on the market and integrates it in all its devices. In this case, the Find X2 Neo has a 4,020 mAh battery with VOOC 4.0 fast charge, that is, it can charge half the battery in just 20 minutes. The Motorola Edge is one step below with its 18W fast charge, but it surpasses its rival in milliamps, reaching up to 4,500 mAh.
One hundred euros difference
At the time of the price, only 100 euros separate the official prices of both terminals. The Motorola Edge has been launched to the market for 599 euros, compared to 699 euros for the OPPO Find X2 Neo. In this difference, in favor of OPPO it plays double the RAM and internal memory and better fast-charging technology. Motorola maintains more advanced elements in the camera section and will delight the classics with the headphone jack. The final decision, as always, is all yours.
