The ringtones are a fundamental part of the configuration of our mobile. We can leave the one that arrives by default, or go further and change the tones to modify them to our liking, also being able to differentiate between tones for different users or for notifications according to which applications. Motorola mobiles allow you to modify this aspect easily.
By changing the ringtone, we can better identify everything that happens on our mobile without having to touch it. If we hear a certain sound , we will be able to know that it is from a specific contact or application, and ignore it or attend to it depending on our priorities. In Motorola terminals, making these changes are done in simple steps.
Change the default ringtone
In order to change the default ringtone, we will have to go to Settings / Sound / Advanced / Ringtone . Once inside this menu we can select a tone from the list that comes by default.
Play a song
However, if we want to put a song as a ringtone, we will have to tap on “Add” at the bottom of the list. Then we touch on the three horizontal lines and click on “Audio“. Finally we will choose the song stored on our mobile.
Ringtones for each contact
This is the best way to identify incoming calls based on the contact. That is, it will sound different as long as we have made these settings. In order to do this we will have to enter the “Contacts” app and enter the desired contact. Then we click on the three points that give access to the menu and finally on “set tone”. Now we can select a tone from the list for this contact or add a tone at the bottom of the list. Once selected, click on accept.
Vibration for calls
Likewise, we can adjust our Motorola to vibrate when it receives calls. However, disabling this feature is beneficial for longer battery life. We can make the settings from Settings / Sound “Also vibrate in calls”
Change the ringtone of apps
This is another of the most useful modifications, to identify what reaches our mobile , be it an email, a WhatsApp message or the update of an application such as a game. In order to change the notification sound of an app we will have to hold down the application icon and click on “Information” and then on “Notifications”. Now we will click on the category for the marked notifications and touch on Advanced / Sound. Now we can choose the desired tone as we have seen previously.
