MIUI 12.5 Stable Arrives on Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro

A few weeks ago we echoed with some regret the first phone that received the update to MIUI 12.5 in the Chinese firm. It is the Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, a mobile that was not available in Spain, and that therefore was going to lengthen the time necessary to be able to access this update in Spain. Now we know that the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro already have it.

Given the logical disappointment that the new Xiaomi layer was coming to a mobile phone that had not been marketed in Spain for the time being, one could only wait for the arrival of the new layer to other mobiles that had been launched in our country. Something that has finally happened with the top of the range of the Chinese firm of the past 2020.

Although the ultra model was logically one of the top of the range of the Chinese, it did not finally reach Spain, but now two of the most prominent mobile phones of the brand in the past year have begun to receive the new version of MIUI in their country of origin, China. These are the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, which are already receiving the stable version of MIUI 12.5. These are two updates that come to these models with firmware versions V12.5.3.0.RJBCNXM and V12.5.3.0.RJACNXM . These have a fairly high weight of around 4GB , and both are based on Android 11.

It is a stable version, although at the moment it is being released to a limited number of users, since although it is a final version, it is still part of the beta of the development of this update. It is expected that in the coming days both phones will begin to receive this version in a greater number of devices, and that it will reach all Chinese users in these weeks. Logically this throws some hope to Spanish users, who with this stable version underway in China, see the arrival of MIUI 12.5 much closer to Spanish models.

An update that will bring a lot of performance

Although this new version of MIUI does not mean the jump to a new generation of the software layer, it does promise important changes in the performance of our Xiaomi phones.

Since the Chinese firm has rewritten the core of the layer to be much more efficient, and therefore can offer better performance in phones. In fact, according to Xiaomi itself, with this update, memory use is reduced by up to 20% , even power consumption is also reduced by up to 25% with the new code. It is expected that the global version of MIUI 12.5 for these phones will reach everyone in the coming weeks.
