It is, almost certainly, one of the most anticipated games in the history of Nintendo Switch , which has always appeared as one of the most desired by fans of the big N when a Direct has been broadcast in which they show their main news. And in the last one held just a few hours ago, we learned that Metroid Prime is already a reality, remastered and everything so that we can enjoy it as it deserves.
Two decades of success and glory
Metroid Prime is not just any game since it is one of the best installments in the saga (well, actually they all are) because it had the courage to transform all its platform development into a kind of 3D shooter . But most incredible of all is that, despite this radical change in perspective, the entire essence of the franchise remained intact, practically squaring the circle.
That Nintendo success did not go unnoticed over the years and from the original GameCube version in 2002, we went seven years later to the Wii version, where that 3D part of the saga continued. The result was just as extraordinary and was completed with two more titles that, still today, in 2023, we hope will be completed by Retro Studios with a future Metroid Prime 4.
With all this background, it was logical to think that Nintendo Switch users would miss Samus and her mythical three-dimensional adventure, but luckily, the Japanese have heard our prayers and have already released Metroid Prime Remastered for their hybrid console, in such a way that if you want to play it again… what are you waiting for?

How much will it cost?
Prices have been a small topic of debate within the Nintendo ecosystem in recent times because, without going any further, The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom seems to be going to raise the maximum price by ten euros to set it at 69.99. So when we saw in the Nintendo Direct last night that this Metroid Prime Remastered was coming, many of us feared that they could take the opportunity to do the same.
Luckily, if you want to buy the new Metroid Prime Remastered in the eShop, you are going to be pleasantly surprised because Nintendo has not jumped too high (just a tad) and has set the recommended price at 39.99 euros for start playing it right now. Unfortunately, and at least at the time of writing these lines, the game does not have a physical purchase option in stores like Amazon, where small promotions usually appear that make it a tad cheaper.
In any case, choose the format you choose, Metroid Prime Remastered is one of the great surprises that we have had so far in February and one more reason to dust off your Nintendo Switch if you had it in the drawer waiting for the arrival of the new one. Zelda . That everyone begins to think that it could be delayed… but that, now, is another news.
