Mobile phones are becoming more and more important for our day to day, allowing us to carry everything we need with us. But nevertheless, this can pose a risk, since if the mobile is broken or we lose it, we will also be saying goodbye to many important files for us. To avoid taking risks, we can create backup copies of Huawei phones on the computer and thus have a safeguard.
This option that has been available in EMUI for generations , is not used as much as it should. It is one of the best security methods on Android and taking advantage of it is not complicated, you just need to follow a few quick steps and we can always have a complete copy at home with our computer.
Create backup of the Huawei mobile on a computer
In order to create the most complete backup of our mobile, we will have to resort to a Windows computer or a Mac. In either case, we will have to download HiSuite from the official website, a Huawei software that allows us to carry out this process and save the entire Huawei mobile on the computer in case of possible problems.
Once downloaded, it is time to start the program and then connect the mobile via a USB cable to the computer. After a few seconds it will detect them and ask us to install HiSuite on the smartphone if we have not installed it yet. In some versions of EMUI, you can also ask us for permissions, which we will have to accept for everything to work properly.
Once connected, the button to create a backup will appear at the bottom of the HiSuite program. Just by clicking on it, a new tab will be displayed with all the options it offers us.
What can we keep in the copy?
This tool will allow us to choose between everything that we have saved on our own mobile. As we can see in the following image, the selection is very complete and includes all multimedia files, no matter how many photos and videos. We can choose from contacts, to messages, through photos, videos, settings and even applications.
This tool will also help us when it comes to recovering the mobile to the previous state when a problem forces us to reset the smartphone completely. Once we have made all the selection, the size of the backup that we are going to generate will appear and also the space we have available on the computer’s hard drive. To finish we just have to think about “Make a copy”.
The larger the backup, the longer it will take and we will not be able to use the mobile in the meantime or turn off or disconnect the devices. It will be convenient to do it at a time when we do not need the computer or the mobile and we let it generate the complete backup.
The backup copy is generated within HiSuite itself, so we cannot uninstall the program from the computer if we want to have access to the generated copy in the future. To recover it, you just have to enter HiSuite, connect the mobile and click on restore.
