In the same way that many other manufacturers have been doing, Panasonic has announced LUMIX Tether for Streaming (Beta) . This new application or version of the existing one will give options to use some of the manufacturer’s most important cameras as a webcam or camera to stream.

It had to happen, the brands of photo cameras are finally realizing the high demand that is having with everything related to video calls, streaming, etc. Therefore, if they also have cameras with a clear orientation to video, why not take advantage of it with their own solutions.
During all this time we have seen how Canon, Fuji and even Sony (although it is not the best solution of all) offered options to be able to use their cameras as a webcam without using a capture device. Yes, it is true that with one of these devices better results are obtained, but even so, for many it is more interesting to resort only to software and use of a USB cable than to have to invest an extra in capture machines whose price is usually around 100 euros in their most affordable models.
Well now it is the turn of Panasonic, which has updated or released a new version that will allow you to use its most representative cameras to make any streaming application you want. LUMIX Tether for Streaming is the new application that is currently in Beta version and available for Windows computers.
Through this new app, the Lumix GH5, GH5s, G9 cameras and the Lumix S1, S1R and S1H full frame range that we were able to analyze recently will be the ones that can be used for all this streaming. This version includes the LIVE VIEW mode that allows you to eliminate any interface element that may be distracting or simply not interesting. For example, the controls when shooting or the area you are focusing on that appeared in the hitherto current version of the tool, which was designed to shoot remotely.
