Finding the Password on iOS

Locating your mobile hotspot password on iOS is a straightforward process:

  1. Open the “Settings” app on your iOS device.
  2. Scroll down and select “Personal Hotspot” (also known as “Personal Access Point”).
  3. Beneath the “Allow Others to Join” option, you’ll find the “Wi-Fi Password.” Tap on it to reveal your hotspot password.

You can now view your password without needing to enter any access code. If you wish to make changes to the password, you have the option to do so here. By updating the password, any previously connected devices will be required to enter the new password to access your hotspot. It’s a good practice to periodically change your password to ensure that only authorized devices can connect.

Finding the Password on Android

On Android, the process is quite similar to iOS, though slight variations may exist depending on your device’s manufacturer and model:

  1. Open the “Settings” app on your Android device.
  2. Navigate to “Network & Internet.”
  3. Select “Hotspot & Tethering” or “Wi-Fi Zone / Connection Sharing,” depending on your device.
  4. Choose “Wi-Fi Hotspot” or “Wi-Fi Access Point.”
  5. Look for the “Access Point Password” or similar option, then tap on it to view your hotspot password.

Just like on iOS, you can modify your password from this section. Changing the password ensures that any device, including previously connected ones, must enter the new password to access your hotspot.

It’s worth noting that relying on mobile hotspot options can be a safer choice, especially if you have unlimited data or a generous data plan, compared to connecting to public networks. This extra layer of security can help safeguard your personal data from potential threats when sharing your internet connection.
