LG is withdrawing from the business of mobile phones, will stop manufacturing and selling them. But that is no longer news, the news now is that the company’s employees in Korea will have the chance to get hold of one of the last great phones that the brand had intended to launch and at a price that will be difficult to resist.
LG Rollable and LG Velvet 2 Pro: for LG employees only
A half surprise, so we could define the announcement that the Korean manufacturer made a few weeks ago and that served to officially communicate that it was withdrawing from the smartphone business. And it is that the withdrawal was something that we all more or less intuited that it would end up happening sooner or later. Because sales had not been consistent in recent years, its presence within the sector had been diluted despite having the odd interesting phone.
However, before saying goodbye it definitely seems that he still has some good news, although it will only be for the company’s own employees in Korea: LG will give the option to buy some units of the last two great phones that it would have been developing these months ago already a irresistible price apparently.
The prices of the latest great phones from LG
According to data from a leaker, both the LG Rollable and the LG Velvet 2 Pro could be purchased as long as you were an LG employee in Korea. Of course, accepting a series of conditions that are not a big problem either due to the attractive price that the LG Velvet 2 Pro would have, at least.

The other, more “earthy” and no less interesting, is the LG Velvet 2 Pro. Of this second generation of a terminal, which did reach the market and is known as LG Rainbow in China, we do not have data from its sheet technical, but some details such as a triple main camera module larger than the previous one and pressure-sensitive touch buttons that together with a striking aesthetic did not paint badly.
The LG Velvet 2 Pro can be purchased by employees for $ 170 , but it will be limited to two per employee and only 3,000 units will be available. The worst thing, though, could be that software updates will only be available for six months. From that time they will not give any support.
