Today we bring you a comparison of two of those phones that belong to one of the most popular ranges of terminals on the market. We are talking about the LG K61 and the Redmi Note 8 , two phones that offer excellent technical specifications, although at quite different prices. The LG has a 6.53-inch screen with Full HD + resolution . It has a hole in the corner that suits your design very well. It also has a scratch resistant glass.
For its part, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has a somewhat smaller screen, 6.3 inches and Full HD + resolution . The front camera is in a notch in the form of a drop of water. The LG measures 164.5 x 77.5 x 8.4 mm and weighs 191 grams, being a larger phone than the Redmi, which measures 158.3 x 75.3 x 8.4 mm and weighs 190 grams.
Performance
Here there are quite a few different, because on the one hand we have a MediaTek processor, Helio P35 , on the LG, while the Xiaomi has a classic Snapdragon 665 .
This second is a more popular processor, and surely more to the liking of most users. Both have 4GB of RAM, although the LG offers twice the expandable internal storage, of 128GB compared to the 64GB of the Redmi.
Camera
Here we have a lot of equality, if we consider that both have the same four rear sensors, at least in resolution and type. They are 48 megapixels, 8 megapixels ultra wide angle, 2 megapixels macro and 2 megapixels deep .
In front, the LG has a better 16-megapixel camera in the hole, than the Redmi in the notch, which is 13 megapixels.
Battery, connectivity and software
Here these phones also offer us maximum equality, because both have a 4000mAh battery , which in the case of the Redmi is compatible with 18W charging. They both have a rear fingerprint reader. The LG has bluetooth 5.0, while the Redmi bluetooth 4.0. On the other hand, the LG does have NFC connectivity, necessary to make mobile payments, remember that it is the Redmi Note 8T that has it.
For its part, the Redmi does have an infrared port. An aspect in favor of the LG is that it has MIL-STD-810G military grade certification , which guarantees maximum resistance to shocks, water or dust. It is expected that the LG will update to Android 10 in the remainder of the year, while the Redmi is close to receiving it.
Price and conclusion
We are facing two similar mobiles, especially very similar in terms of camera and battery. Processors are similar in performance, and are generally similar phones, but there are significant price differences. The LG K61 is priced at 260 euros while the Redmi Note 8 can be purchased for 150 euros .
So it is a remarkable difference. In its favor, the LG has a larger screen with a hole and a better design, a better selfie camera, greater resistance to the elements with military certification, NFC, more storage and in general the premium finish of these phones. For its part, the Redmi stands out for its Snapdragon processor, and especially for a much tighter price. This last factor is decisive to lean towards the Redmi Note 8 as the best option. However, if you are looking for a mobile phone with a more premium air, your thing is the LG without a doubt.
