This is what many car brands do in international shows. However, there are brands that directly put those strange products on sale to attract attention. This is the case of the eternal pique between LG and Samsung, which now extends to ‘Lifestyle’ televisions.
LG also knows how to make design televisions
They are called ‘Lifestyle TVs’ or ‘Lifestyle TVs’, but colloquially, they are known as ‘posture TVs’. These televisions are designed to blend in very naturally with their surroundings, and can be made to look like paintings or even canvases on an easel .
They are very exclusive televisions, with a very successful design. You will hardly meet someone who has one at home, but both Samsung and LG put a lot of effort into these types of products. The objective that both brands seek with these ranges is not so much to sell, but rather to demonstrate their technological capabilities and capture our attention.
Samsung has been launching TVs in its Lifestyle range for a few years now, and LG has also been fighting back with the same style of devices with its LG OLED Objet range, launched in 2021.
LG Pose
The LG Posé television follows the same philosophy as the Samsung Serif. It is a panel mounted on an easel, although it can be placed on any wall pretending to be a painting. It will be within the LG OLED Objet Collection range, and will go on sale in the third quarter of this year 2022. The Posé uses the same OLED technology that is present in the C2 and G2 televisions. It features a 4K panel, HDMI 2.1 connectors, and support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.
The purpose of the LG Posé is that we can show off photographs and other artistic works as if we were exhibiting a canvas in our living room. It will be available in 42, 48 and 55-inch diagonals.
LG Easy
In the same style is the LG Easel , the model that is equivalent to the Samsung The Frame. It is a huge canvas that hides its panel with OLED Evo technology. His name means ‘easel’ in English.
Two televisions that are presented in their natural habitat
Both the Easel and the Posé are destined to end up in the most exclusive salons in the world, where they will be mere decorative objects and will surely never play a Netflix series. But before they become another work of art, these two televisions have to be known by their potential customers.
For this reason, the Koreans have decided that these two televisions will be unveiled in a very special place, specifically, at Milan Design Week , which takes place between June 7 and 12 .
It is not yet known what prices these models will have when they go on sale, although we can imagine that they will be much more expensive than the equivalent Samsung televisions due to the technology that these devices mount.
