First Leaked Photos of the Nintendo Amusement Park in Japan

Nintendo announced that it was goIing to have a real- world representation of the Super Mario world through a section at Osaka’s Universal Studios Japan park , and plans were to have it ready by mid-2020, taking advantage of the start of the Olympics. But of course, the COVID-19 pandemic arrived and everything has been screwed up, but that has not stopped the construction company from continuing to do its work.

Thanks to photos apparently taken from a helicopter (or perhaps a drone) by Instagram user imaiko02, today we can see the appearance of the new section that will arrive at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka. As we can see, the evolution of the Super Nintendo World is spectacular, and apparently the works seem almost finished, wearing some scaffolding in high-volume buildings such as Bowser Castle or Princess Peach’s Castle.

It is smaller than we thought

The first thing that strikes you is that the park does not seem to be especially large, at least with the perspective that we see in the image, although we must remember that it is an extra addition to the Universal park, and not an independent park as such. Of course, everything seems especially tight, so you will have to see what capacity they have calculated.

Let us remember that when entering the park we will wear a quantifying bracelet that will be in charge of counting the coins that we get during our visit and comparing them with other visitors, something that we will see if it carries prizes or some type of gift if we manage to achieve the first places in the table.

As some users have shared through the networks, the park is visible from the nearby roads, and some have not hesitated to take the odd photo from afar to try to see something else from a distance. A good mobile with optical zoom would have been great.

Entering through a pipe

Super Nintendo World Ticket

In the image we can see some recognizable areas, such as the desert pyramids, the Yoshi forest or the Bowser and Peach castles, and also, a large number of moving elements if you look at their bases, since many have rails for scroll horizontally. But if there is something especially striking, it will be the entrance to the park, since we will have to enter through a large pipe that leads into the Super Nintendo World .

This entrance will be clearly recognizable by having a square where we can see the drawing of a star on the ground. Very suitable to make way for the Mushroom Kingdom.

Where is the Super Nintendo World?

Thanks to the published images we can see that this world of Mario has been built at one end of the amusement park, just where there used to be a large parking area. It is located next to the Harry Potter themed area, although the entrance will be to the South. If you want to take a look from Google Maps (the satellite image is not updated), we leave you with the direct link below.
