The “official” theory is that Poco has separated from Xiaomi to start an individual commercial tour but the reality is that the strategy followed by the young brand is quite similar to that of its “mother”. After launching the Poco F2 Pro less than a week ago, the firm has already prepared the launch of a new mobile, the Poco M2 Pro .
It looks like this new phone could be introduced sometime next month, as it has recently been seen going through multiple certification databases. Earlier this month, the purported Poco M2 Pro was seen on the Xiaomi India website hinting at its impending launch. Later, it was seen on the company’s RF exposure page re-confirming its existence. Now, Poco’s mobile with model number M2003J6CI has passed the Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG certifications.
Poco’s first phone features
The Wi-Fi certification list advances that this new Poco M2 Pro could be launched with dual-band Wi-Fi connectivity and run on Android 10 with its own customization layer adapted from MIUI. On the other hand, the Bluetooth SIG certification database confirms support for Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
But beyond these confirmations, there is a growing rumor that the Poco M2 Pro will once again be a model that we already know and that it will again be a renowned Redmi for the occasion. This time it would be the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, the mobile that has come to our country in the form of the Redmi Note 9 Pro , the smartphone that would serve as the basis for this new Poco phone.
If so, it is to be expected similar, if not the same, specifications between the Redmi and Poco phone : A 6.67-inch screen with a FullHD + resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels under which we would find a Snapdragon 720G loaded with AI functions for Maintain optimal phone performance and with 64 or 128 GB versions with 6 GB of memory.
The mobile’s cameras would go back to being 4 in the back, configured around a 64MP main camera, followed by an 8MP ultra wide angle, a 8MP ultra wide angle 5MP macro lens, a 2MP depth sensor and depth . All this with a 5020 mAh battery that would have the 30W fast charge that is already present in many other Xiaomi mobiles.
