Starting the year and getting in shape is a classic promise. Nothing better than doing it hand in hand with a smartband, and now, OnePlus has just expanded the offer available on the market. After several weeks of rumors and various leaks, the OnePlus Band is now official, a bracelet that comes with technical characteristics and common functions in this type of product , and that aims to fight against the Mi Band 5 from Xiaomi.
The launch of the OnePlus Band has occurred in India, a market in which the firm has a significant presence. This new wearable allows to control all the physical activity of the user, counting on elements that can no longer be missing in this type of products, such as a color screen, long-lasting battery or the corresponding sensors or control meters.
Technical characteristics of the OnePlus Band
The OnePlus Band features a 1.1-inch color AMOLED screen, offering a resolution of 126 x 294 pixels. Like its Xiaomi rival, it has interchangeable silicone straps in a wide range of colors. It has an optical heart rate sensor, a three-axis accelerometer, a gyroscope, and a Spo2 sensor . Of course, you can monitor steps, calories burned, heart rate, and measure the quality of your sleep.
To outperform many of its rivals, support for 13 sport modes has been built in: Outdoor Running, Indoor Running, Fat Burning Run, Outdoor Walking, Cycling, Rowing, Swimming, Yoga and Cricket. It also offers support for notifications, music playback, management of incoming calls and is also resistant to water and dust thanks to its IP68 certificate.
OnePlus has indicated that the bracelet works with Bluetooth 5.0 and has a 100 mAh battery that allows it to withstand up to 14 days on with a single charge. This charging will be done through an external adapter through a USB-A port, without having to release the module from the strap. The OnePlus Band has the OnePlus Health app to be able to see all the history and manage many functions of the bracelet. This app is now available on Google Play and is compatible with Android devices from version 6.0 or higher.
Price and date of sale
The OnePlus Band will go on sale from January 13 in India , in black, blue and gray colors. Its price is around 30 euros and at the moment we do not know the international marketing plans of the bracelet.
