Motorola is celebrating, as the Moto G family turns ten. Precisely today was the day set on the calendar for Motorola to unveil new members of this legendary series. And so it has been, since the new Moto G100 and Moto G50 are official . The first is more than enough in power containing its price, and the second seeks to end up in the pocket of a large number of users thanks to its design and features, with an even lower price.
Motorola already made it clear last year that the mid-range was not going to be its only battlefield. The Motorola Edge Plus made it clear that the Lenovo firm also wants to play in the senior league. Now, the firm has unveiled the Moto G100. This terminal stands out for having the Snapdragon 870, which is a very smart move by offering plenty of power, and being able to contain the final price well below the big “flagship” on the market. For its part, the Moto G50 will dazzle those who have a tighter budget and do not see the sense to spend more than 300 euros on a smartphone.
Moto G100, more than enough power
As we say, the Moto G100 integrates the powerful Snapdragon 870 mobile with a 5G chip, which is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 1TB through microSD cards. It also stands out for integrating a large 5000 mAh battery with 20W fast charging. The terminal has a 6.7-inch CinemaVision screen, with a panoramic aspect ratio of 21: 9 and a refresh rate of 90 Hz, in addition to being compatible with HDR10, to offer more vivid colors.
At the rear we find four cameras, with a 64 megapixel ultra-high resolution main sensor with Quad Pixel technology, a 16 megapixel wide-angle sensor, a 2 megapixel depth sensor and a four ToF sensor to improve precision in focus. On the front we find a 16 megapixel selfie sensor. The Moto G100 also includes Dual Capture mode for the first time, which allows you to record using the rear cameras and selfie at the same time.
How could it be otherwise, it comes with Android 11 and a practically pure layer of Google’s operating system. In addition, it is compatible with the “Ready For” function , a new one that allows you to move the game from your mobile to the big screen or use applications to work in a desktop environment.
Moto G50, the quality / price per flag
Going down a couple of steps, but no less interesting, Motorola has presented the Moto G50. We are facing a device that has a 6.5-inch Max Vision screen, which has an HD + resolution and the same 20: 9 aspect repair as its older brother. In this case, inside we find the Snapdragon 480, a more modest processor, but enough to offer good performance and provide 5G connectivity to the device. This processor is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, also expandable up to 1TB.
In the back we find three cameras located vertically, with a main sensor of 48 megapixels, and macro and depth sensors of two megapixels each. On the front it offers a 13 megapixel selfie sensor. The terminal also comes with Android 11 as standard and with a generous 5,000 mAh battery, which in this case is compatible with a standard 10W charge. It also does not lack other types of connections such as NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack.
Prices and date of sale
The new M oto G50 will be available in Spain from April 15 with a suggested retail price of € 269 through the Motorola website and other common sales channels such as Amazon or Phone House. For its part, the Moto G100 will be available from March 26 through the same sales channels for € 499.
