Jabra Elite 75t Review: Original Findings and ANC Update

Updated : This update keeps the original 2020 listening impressions and corrects later features and specifications. It is not a new hands-on test.

The Jabra Elite 75t stood out in our original 2020 review for their small case, comfortable fit and useful physical controls. One important detail has changed since that review: the Elite 75t support active noise cancellation through updated software and the Jabra Sound+ app.

Jabra Elite 75t Review: Original Findings and ANC Update

This page separates the original reviewer’s experience from the manufacturer’s specifications. Battery life on a pair that has been used for years may be lower than either figure.

What the original review found

The reviewer found the earbuds small and secure once the right silicone tips were fitted. That is still a personal fit judgement: an in-ear design that works well for one person may feel uncomfortable to someone else.

The compact charging case was another strong point. Physical buttons made it easy to tell when a press had registered, although pressing any in-ear button can feel different depending on how firmly the earbud sits.

Area Original review’s finding
Fit Comfortable and secure with a suitable tip size.
Controls Physical buttons were easy to use.
Sound The reviewer described a balanced sound and liked the ability to adjust the bass with the equalizer.
Auto-pause Removing an earbud paused playback reliably during the review.
Battery About six hours from a charge in the original use, rather than a new measurement today.

Do the Jabra Elite 75t have noise cancellation?

Yes. Jabra lists active noise cancellation for the Elite 75t. The original article’s statement that they had no ANC is out of date. Jabra’s updated Elite 75t datasheet explains that ANC is first activated in Sound+.

ANC, passive isolation and HearThrough do different jobs:

  • Passive isolation comes from the ear tip sealing against your ear.
  • ANC uses the earbuds’ electronics to reduce some surrounding noise.
  • HearThrough lets you hear more of your surroundings through the microphones.

The old review does not provide a hands-on test of the added ANC feature. Do not read its sound impressions as a comparison with today’s noise-cancelling earbuds.

Battery life: official figures versus an older pair

Jabra gives these maximum music-playback figures:

Mode Earbuds per charge Total including charging case
ANC on Up to 5.5 hours Up to 24 hours
ANC and HearThrough off Up to 7.5 hours Up to 28 hours

Those totals include the earbuds’ initial charge; they are not extra hours to add on top. See Jabra’s battery FAQ. Volume, features, calls and battery age affect real use.

Sound+, connections and durability

The original reviewer liked the equalizer and MySound personalization. The app was useful for setup and sound changes without needing to stay open for every listening session.

Jabra’s technical sheet lists Bluetooth 5.0, connection to two devices at once, USB-C charging and IP55-rated earbuds. IP55 does not mean they are suitable for swimming, and the charging case should not be treated as waterproof. Check the exact case version rather than assuming every package includes wireless charging.

Still using them, or buying an old pair?

  1. Check the exact product and available help on Jabra’s support page.
  2. Check Sound+ for the software and features available for your pair.
  3. Try all supplied tip sizes at a comfortable volume.
  4. Check both earbuds and the case charge properly, especially on used stock.
  5. Compare the asking price and return policy with current alternatives.

The €179 mentioned in the original review was the price at that time, not a current offer. Our headphone and headset buying guide explains the connection and microphone checks worth making. If a PC cannot find any sound output, start with Windows audio troubleshooting.
