Since many ways are unknown, it does not hurt to review all the options you have to force an EMUI update on your smartphone, as long as the manufacturer makes the software available to users.

If EMUI 10 is available for your mobile
Update via OTA
The easiest option of all is to wait for the mobile itself to show you a message notifying you of the EMUI 10 update for your mobile phone. Then you just have to click on download and install the update leaving the appropriate space so that there are no installation problems and discarding the file through a Wi-Fi connection.
To force the arrival of the software, you can access the phone settings and navigate to the bottom where you will find the System menu and updates. Inside select Check for update, wait for the screen to load and click on Check for updates. If you have any pending you will see the notice to install it on the screen.
Update via HiCare
There is a much more practical way than to wait for the update message to arrive via OTA or force the update from the system settings. Make use of an application as unknown as useful present in most smartphones of the brand: HiCare .
To enter HiCare locate the app from the EMUI search engine and, once inside, go to the personal section and select the option of Check for Updates. On paper this is the same as doing it from the system settings of your phone but we have checked in our own meats how doing it in this way has allowed us to get the EMUI 10 update for our mobile much earlier.
Update via HiSuite
For older models it is quite advisable to use the latest version of Huawei HiSuite, the company’s app that must be installed on the computer. You can download it from here . Check that the phone has more than 30% battery and connect it to the computer using a USB cable (do not disconnect during the entire process). The phone must have a remaining battery of more than 30% during the entire update process.
To bring the latest version of EMUI to your old mobile, keep the mobile connected and in HiSuite click on Update System. Once a new version is found, the smartphone will download and install it automatically and the phone will restart.
And if it is not available?
At this point we can only do two things. The first is to wait for the brand to release the final version of the software for our mobile phones. The second is to install the beta version of EMUI 10 whenever our mobile is part of the program.
Betas Program
To opt to install the EMUI 10 beta on your mobile, as long as it is available, it is necessary to install the application that gives access to the betas of the Huawei operating system. You can download it from this link to, immediately, access with your Huawei ID (if you do not have it, you can create it).
To find all the EMUI 10 betas available in this app you must log in and access the “Personal” menu> “Join project”> “Project available”. Here you will find the mobile phones of the brand that can already install this precious version of the software.
