How to review the posts you liked
When you like an Instagram post that data is stored, but unlike other platforms it is not so intuitive to see all those posts. To access them you only have to go to your profile and once there do this:

How to stop stories from a specific contact

If you want to stop seeing the stories of that specific contact, this is what you should do:
- Press and hold on its icon in the stories or from one of its publications click on the icon with three dots (…)
- Now tap on Mute
- A menu will appear to mute stories or stories and posts, you decide
This mute option can always be changed by simply re-entering your profile and changing the setting.
Reorder your filters
Instagram filters can be reordered so that you always have the most used ones in a more accessible way. For this you have to do the following:
- Click on the icon to publish a photo or video
- Go to the filters section and on any of them touch and hold
- Now you can move it left or right

Delete your search history

- Go to your user profile
- Open the burger menu
- Tap on Settings
- Swipe down and tap Clear search history
By deleting this history, you will notice that the suggestions will change as you continue using the application and looking for new terms.
Delete specific searches
When you use the search box, the application itself suggests accounts or terms that it understands may be related or of interest to you. If not, those suggestions can be permanently removed . To do this, tap on the X icon that appears on the right side.
From that moment on they will stop appearing to you even if you write something very similar to their name, labels, etc. Which is always useful to get rid of that account that haunts you and you already know that it does not interest.
Don’t miss anything from an account
There are accounts that you don’t want to miss any of their posts. To give it priority and that nothing happens to you, do the following:
- Go to the account profile
- Tap on the three dots icon
- Activate the option to Enable post notifications
Every time I post something you will have a notice. If you see that there are too many, you can always change and return to normal operation with these notifications disabled.
Manage multiple Instagram profiles
The Instagram application has long managed to manage multiple profiles. To add a new account you just have to go to your profile:
- Tap on the burger menu
- Setting

Filter and block comments with keywords
If you want to prevent unpleasant comments from appearing in your posts, you can resort to using filters through keywords. That will block them without having to do anything on your part. To do it, do this:
- Go to Settings
- Tap on Privacy
- Comments
- Activate the Manual filter option
- Add comma separated words
From now on, any comment that includes one of these words will be blocked. Yes, you should bear in mind that some people skip these filters changing a vowel for a number. When that happens, you just have to add that modification to your filter.
If, in addition to using the words that you need to filter, you want to make use of the most frequently reported ones, you will only have to activate the second option that it offers you after activating the first one.
Turn off comments for a specific post
There will be times when for one reason or another you don’t want them to be able to comment on certain posts you make. If you want to remove the comment option, you can disable them. To do this, when you go to post or once done, you just have to check the Disable comments option .
In the publications already made, access the three dots icon and then the option to deactivate the comments that you will see.
Use of collections
All the posts you keep are in a general category, but if you want you can create specific collections so that going back to them is easier. For example, a collection for topics related to photography, design, travel, etc.
To create these collections, go to the hamburger menu and then Save. On the new screen that appears, touch the + icon, you can create as many new collections as you want and even choose the cover image. When you give it, it will be ready so that when you save a new publication you can choose in which collection to do it.
How to “reset” your Instagram feed
There are times when you would like to start over on Instagram, to give your account a new style and focus. To do it, it is not necessary to delete those photos that you uploaded for some time, you can archive them. To archive your publications you must do the following:
- Tap on the three dot icon of one of your posts
- Select Archive
Done, they will be removed from your feed, but they will still be hidden in case you ever want to recover them.
Share videos without sound
If you have recorded a video fragment I do not want to share it with sound because it has poor quality or is not adequate, you will not have to resort to any external application. Just do all the usual publishing process, hit the + icon, select the video, hit next and then you will see that a speaker icon appears at the top. If you hit it, you will disable the sound or not . Done, the usual publishing process ends and the video will be available to everyone but without audio.
Activity options and statistics
If you change the type of personal account to Creator or Company you will get new tools related to activity and statistics. They are options oriented to grow, but they also give you some extras that are interesting for any type of user.
To make the jump go to the hamburger menu, then to settings and there you will find the option to change. Choose the one that best suits your profile, probably the Creator one. Once done, from the hamburger menu you can access these new options.
