Huawei’s lip unlocking
A new patent that the Asian company has presented, and that was approved recently, shows us one of the possible futures that we will have in Huawei models. That is, the security systems for their smartphones will be increased, since we could become able to unlock the terminal with our lips . Although, everything indicates that this novelty will not be present in the next P50 series.
In addition, Huawei has opted for this method since the lips work like one more fingerprint . Basically because the wrinkles on the surface and the shape of this part of our body are unique and practically unrepeatable. For this very reason, Huawei has embarked on an adventure to create unlocking technology through our lips. Although the question that will arise the most is whether it will definitively end the great trend of Face ID or the fingerprint sensor.
This new patent of the Chinese company was approved this same June 29, with the publication number CN113051535A . And as they have reported, this system of the Asian firm will use both the biological attributes of the shape of the mouth and the movement to authenticate the identity of the users.
And as happens when using the front camera of the terminal to make use of Face ID, it will not be necessary to have any type of contact with the device, something that does happen with the fingerprint or in the case of using some type of password. So, now, we can only wait if we can finally get to enjoy this striking technology from the Asian company in the future.
