Both Huawei with their years of experience behind them, as well as Realme with the great revolution that it has meant in the market, have two terminals such as the Huawei P40 Lite and Realme X2 that fit perfectly in many pockets. The value for money of both models is worthy of a comparison, so that it is easier to choose which of these two mobiles deserves more than we buy it.
The new Huawei opponent has managed to carry out her work very well, we are talking about Realme, a brand that launched the Realme X2 last year to become a favorite for many. With the intention of stealing the limelight , the Huawei P40 Lite was recently presented before we met the high-end, but showing us an alternative for all who want the best, without paying too much.
Design and displays
Moving away from the glass, the design of the Huawei P40 Lite opts for plastic as a prominent material and the Realme X2 for polycarbonate , two different materials with similar results. In the back of the Huawei we have a clean design, where we only find a model of cameras with its four lenses, meanwhile in the Realme something very similar, with different devices and brightness that make it stand out more. The front of both seeks to make the most of the screen, although Huawei does so with a hole in the screen and Realme with a small central notch in the form of a drop.
The screens of these devices coincide in size, 6.4 inches but with different technologies . Huawei stays in IPS LCD, while the Realme X2 offers us an AMOLED screen, both in Full HD + resolution. The weight and dimensions are also almost identical, with 182 and 183 grams where we will not notice differences.
Processors capable of everything and more
The internal configuration of both terminals is the best we can find in the mid-range, the Kirin 810 by Huawei with a clock frequency of 2.2 GHz will comply as we all wish. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 730G also at 2.2 GHz, has a manufacturing specifically designed to perform as fast as the high-end, especially in demanding apps such as games.
To complete the mobiles, we have in the RAM with a difference of 2 GB, on the one hand they are 6 GB for Huawei and on the other hand the Realme X2 with 8 GB . The storage in both is 128 GB , with the option of expanding it through MicroSD to have even more space.
Quad cameras
Cameras are becoming more important and the Huawei P40 Lite with its 48 Mpx in the main sensor is not afraid of the 64 Mpx of the Realme X2. In the rest of the sections everything is practically even, they share a wide-angle sensor with 8 Mpx, in addition to 2 Mpx in a macro sensor and another 2 Mpx to improve portrait mode in both.
Its lenses for the front camera if they are different, with 1 6 Mpx in the Huawei and 32 Mpx Realme , both with f / 2.0 aperture to get good results even at night. The video recording has in both cases a digital stabilizer , auto focus and HDR among other add-ons.
Battery and connectivity
The battery and its autonomy is something very important when deciding on one or the other model and in this case both are well served. With 4,200 mAh the Huawei P40 Lite and its 40W fast charge, they promise to reach the end of the day without messing around and before this, the Realme X2 with 4,000 mAh and the 30W fast charge will be somewhat less but just as capable.
With 4G, NFC, audio jack and Bluetooth 5.0, the Realme X2 does not forget anything , something similar for the Huawei, although in this case without a trace of the NFC. Both fingerprint readers are located under the screen, with virtually the same response times.
We compare their systems
The Android version of both terminals has an important difference for now, the Huawei P40 Lite integrates Android 10, in addition to MIUI 10 as its customization layer, one of the most options it offers us. On the other hand, the Realme X2 has Android 9 Pie alongside ColorOS, but very soon it will change to Android 10 and Realme UI , with what could be a great leap for a customization cap with a lot to say. In terms of performance, MIUI 10 currently wins for its long journey and system optimization.
Prices and purchase recommendation
Looking at the prices of both devices, we see that, as with their characteristics, they are also practically the same here. The Huawei P40 Lite with 299 euros and the Freebuds 3 headphones as a gift, is a good option, which faces the Realme X2 for only 254 euros and the decision is very complicated. In our opinion, both phones are a good option, but we opted for the Realme X2 as it has a lower price, has more advanced camera equipment and is practically identical in the rest of the sections.
