Deciding on a mobile phone is very complicated, something that increases with mid-range mobiles from which it is increasingly difficult to choose. Facing the Huawei P30 Lite and the realme 5 Pro we have two true leaders for its price and benefits, although the decision will be easy for us.
The Huawei P30 Lite have become an example to follow for the rest of the mid-range, their good results make them continue to stand out before all for including more than enough benefits for all types of users. On the other hand, the realme 5 Pro is everything we needed in the mid-range , since it hit the market it has continued to reap success with a system that does not improve and cause problems for the most consolidated companies.
Design and displays
The appearance of these two smartphones presents us with a young and renewed appearance with bright colors from which we can choose. The materials of the Huawei P30 Lite are aluminum alloy , while the realme 5 Pro has plastic . On its front, the frames are minimal, reducing them to almost disappear, except for a U-shaped notch for the Huawei model and different in the realme 5 Pro. Its measurements are practically identical, although in weight the realme 5 Pro is more heavy with its 184 grams.
The screens of both smartphones are IPS LCD, with FullHD + resolution. The 6.3 inches of the realme 5 Pro and 409 dpi will give way to more content, while the Huawei P30 Lite is not far behind with 6.15 inches on a screen of 415 dpi. The useful surface in both cases before the body is 84%, making it clear that the screen takes center stage.
Kirin vs Snapdragon
To make the whole system move we find two of the best rated processors, in the Huawei P30 Lite its own Kirin 710 that offers such good results, compared to the Snapdragon 712 that has conquered the mid-range being capable of the best. The realme 5 Pro maintains the possibility of including a micro SD card but its storage is reduced to 64 GB and 128 GB . In both cases, the most recommended would be to opt for the 128 GB, although we depend on other factors that we will know at the end to decide.
Versatile cameras in both cases
In recent times we have seen how photographic equipment earned a lot and these two smartphones are no less. On the one hand, in the back of the Huawei P30 Lite we have 48 Mpx that coincide with the main lens of the realme 5 Pro, the second of them is the 8 Mpx wide angle that again competes with realme in identical data. The third lens is no different, with 2 Mpx to get the best portrait mode, although finally it really stands out for adding one more lens to photograph the smallest objects.
Ahead the realme 5 Pro loses its integrity by staying with 16 Mpx of f / 2.0 aperture , a sensor that will allow us fabulous selfies, but it does not reach the 24 Mpx of f / 2.0 aperture that we find in the Huawei P30 Lite. We reached a very important point since the battery makes us enjoy our mobile for a set time and without it we will not be able to take advantage of everything it offers us. The Huawei proposal has about 3,340 mAh that may be limited, although with the optimization of the system we will be able to obtain good results, it also has a fast charge of 18 W. In front of this the realme 5 Pro has 4,035 mAh that also incorporate OPPO‘s charging technology, VOOC 3.0 that offers 20W to fill the battery in around an hour.
The connectivity of both share many similarities, such as the tarsero fingerprint reader, WiFi connectivity or the audio jack , but nevertheless only the Huawei proposal has NFC and actually improves Bluetooth with version 5.0.
We face your systems
It is the turn of its customization layers and the version of the system that luckily in the Huawei P30 Lite has already begun to update to EMUI 10 with Android 10 included. Something we are also going to see in the realme 5 Pro for the next few weeks as we receive realme UI , its own customization cap. Both systems will offer us everything we need, although without a doubt we must admit that EMUI 10 has a longer journey, with many options and which is now very difficult to deal with.
Prices and purchase recommendation
The units of the Huawei P30 Lite right now are limited and therefore we are only going to find it with 256 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM for a price of 269 euros where a Bluetooth speaker of the brand is also included. Against this realme bet on lowering prices and its model of 128 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM we can find it for 159 euros . Given the photographic similarities, the higher battery level and the other factors, our proposal with such a large price difference opts for the realme 5 Pro without hesitation . We find no reason to have to pay more for the Huawei option, even if a gift is included.
