Seeing its launch diminished, it is possible that the market was lame, a we would never get to see a Huawei Mate 30 Lite, but will we also run out of Huawei Mate 40 Lite?
The first consequence of Huawei’s war with the United States was the decaffeinated arrival of the Mate 30 series in Spain. Huawei stopped the machinery while thinking about its next move, and the landing of the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro did not have the power to which Huawei has accustomed us. This could also halt the arrival of the Mate 30 Lite.
On the trail of the “Maimang” series
Recall that since the beginning of the series, Huawei has renamed the series “Maimang” that launches in China, to launch them as the “Lite” version of the Mate. In this way, the Maimang was the Mate 10 Lite, in the same way that the Maimang 7 became the Mate 20 Lite. But what happened to the Huawei Mate 30 Lite? The truth is that Huawei presented a Maimang 8, which logically should have become the Mate 30 Lite, but its design differed too much from the Mate 30 series.
However, shortly after, the Nova 5i Pro was presented in China, a device whose features and design were more aimed at resembling a Mate 30 Lite. However, neither terminal was ever presented outside of China as Mate 30 Lite, so the family was left with the “low-cost” variant.
Huawei’s truncated plans
It can be very understandable, that in the midst of the debacle in which Huawei was immersed last year, at least in the initial uncertainty, many of its plans were truncated. However, and although with logical difficulties, Huawei is gradually maturing in its dependence on Google, creating its own ecosystem and recovering its launch plans. The Huawei Mate 40 have been leaking for weeks and everything seems to indicate that they will be the definitive turning point to convince the user that Google apps are important, but that there are valid alternatives and that AppGallery can be a worthy rival to Google Play.
So will there be Mate 40 Lite?
And in the midst of this scenario and having very clear that we will have at least a Huawei Mate 40 and a Mate 40 Pro, the question is again whether Huawei will offer an economic alternative in the form of Huawei Mate 40 Lite . The rumors and leaks are once again doing theirs.
Some famous leakers like Digital Chat Station indicate that a possible Mate 40 Lite, known as Maimang 9 or Enjoy 20 5G , will be presented soon in China. If so, we could know it even before the official presentation of the Mate 40, as it already happened with the Huawei P40 Lite, released before the rest of the series terminals.
