Solutions to footprint problems
Remove the screen protector
It is possibly the most common case of fingerprint sensor related failures. Although its quality should be contrasted, poor quality protectors interfere with the fingerprint reading causing errors. The solution is to remove the protector and try again. Possibly the problem will disappear.
Unlock correct?
Huawei itself recommends unlocking with the fingerprint correctly . It is because what can sometimes be considered a sensor failure is actually a misuse of the sensor. We will have to make sure to cover most of the surface with our finger and press hard until we feel the vibration or the release. Similarly, we will have to make sure that neither our fingers or the sensor area are dirty.
Register the footprint again
If our Huawei still does not recognize the fingerprint, we will have to register the fingerprint again because it has probably been misconfigured . To do this we will have to go to the Settings of the mobile and navigate to the Security and Privacy menu. Once inside we will have to access the fingerprint ID options and start again the registration of our fingerprint.
Factory settings
If this method does not work either, we only have to reset the mobile to factory settings, so that any type of configuration, application or files that have been corrupted by affecting the fingerprint sensor, return to normal. To do this we will have to go to System> Reset> Factory data reset > Reset phone to return the phone to its original state. Once the process is finished, we will try to configure the footprints from scratch to check if the problem has disappeared.
