Huawei continues to fight to keep its mobile phone division alive, at least as far as the West is concerned. The company continues to suffer from the thrust of the United States, which came at the time of the firm’s greatest glory and prestige. One of the cards that the Chinese company intends to play is called HarmonyOS, its own operating system to compete with Google.
Huawei has given some clues about HarmonyOS, and how they intend it to be a ubiquitous operating system, not just on mobile devices. However, the western user is very dependent on Google apps and that is the main obstacle that Huawei must jump. However, one of the great doubts now is to know which Huawei phones will be the first privileged to have this new system that is expected to arrive in 2021.
Starting with the Mate 40
On the Chinese social network Weibo, the main leakers begin to release their own forecasts from their sources. On this occasion, it was Courage Digital King, who has ventured the roadmap that will follow the HarmonyOS implementation process. According to this leaker, the first phones to receive HarmonyOS will be those that integrate the new Huawei Kirin 9000 processor . This pack would include the Huawei Mate 40 that are about to be presented and the future P50 of the first quarter of 2021.
In a second wave of implementation, Huawei would consider mobiles with a Kirin 990 processor compatible with 5G, such as the P40 Pro and P40 Pro +, the Mate 30 Pro 5G or the Mate XS pleable. Then the Kirin 990 4G would be the chosen ones, along with the terminals of the Kirin 985/820 series like the Huawei Nova 7 family and the P40 Lite 5G. After this wave, some devices with Kirin 990 and 980 would arrive, such as the Nova 5T, P30 Pro, P30 or the Mate 20 family.
Also to the most modest Huawei
The source also refers to a latest wave of updates for the Kirin 810 and Kirin 710 processor terminals , which would mean that Huawei would not forget the more modest phones in its catalog. Without knowing specifically which models could be chosen, this category includes devices such as the Huawei P40 Lite, P30 Lite, P Smart 2019/2020/2021, Mate 20 Lite or the P20 Lite (2019).
