Huami Presents Its New Amazfit GTS 2e and Amazfit GTR 2e

As much as Amazfit tries to show that it is very different from Huami, the company behind the company, the truth is that both manufacturers are increasingly similar. Above all, when it comes to flooding the market with reviews of newly launched devices in stores. This is what happens now with these new Amazfit GTS 2e and GTR 2e watches .

In September of this year, Huami launched the Amazfit GTR 2 and Amazfit GTS 2 smartwatches, with minimal thickness, a sleek design and the classic sports and health monitoring functions. Now, just a couple of months later, the brand launches its new Amazfit GTR 2e and Amazfit GTS 2e, both priced at 799 yuan (around 110 euros) with a sale date set for December 24.

What’s new Old man?

The two new Huami smartwatches do not stand out for their design, since the GTR 2e and GTS 2e continue with the style and appearance of their predecessors. Whether in square or round format, we have an integrated central module without borders and with 2.5D glass. In the colors the novelties are that the Amazfit GTS 2e is available in Obsidian Black, Roland Purple and Dark Night Green, while the Amazfit GTR 2e is available in Obsidian Black, Dolphin Gray and Ice Lake Green.

In terms of functions, Amazfit GTS 2e and Amazfit GTR 2 e still have blood oxygen detection, 24-hour daily heart rate monitoring and sleep monitoring but temperature measurement tools are added for the first time, which which can help users understand changes in ambient temperature. The two watches are equipped with 90 sports modes and support the automatic recognition of 6 sports activities without the need for us to activate the function manually.

They have a water resistance of 50 meters and GPS positioning functions. The Amazfit GTS 2e has a battery life of up to 14 days and Amazfit GTR 2e has a battery life of up to 24 days. And the fact is that the battery is one of the great improvements of the two Huami watches, since its differences with the smartwatches presented in September go through greater autonomy and 20% lower prices; the problem is that they both lack Wi-Fi connectivity and rely only on phone connectivity.

We do not know if they will reach Europe but, if they do, they will surely lack the NFC connectivity present in the two models.
