Among the extras that Apple offers for its smartphones, one of those options that attracts the most attention are the Memojis . An extra that offers a great difference in social networks, since our face can be shared in an animated version easily and without complications.
The option so far was unique to the iPhone who developed this software-based capability, but nevertheless Xiaomi has wanted to take action on the matter and has launched its alternative. However, no matter how hard we try to find the option on our Xiaomi mobile, we will not be able to find it, because to achieve it we must follow some essential steps, since officially it has only arrived in China and the corresponding ROMs, but there are a simple method to be able to enjoy it anywhere in the world.

A copy, which we could say is in beta version and therefore has not left China, although as we will see we can get it with a few simple steps. In addition, since the preliminary version Xiaomi has not presented any news in this regard in this extra.
Steps to use MiMojis on mobile
The process that leads us to use this technology on our mobile is very simple, because we are only going to have to install an app, which, however, is not in the Google Play application store. The process is available thanks to the fact that users from China have provided us with the apk file, making it available to enjoy it in other ROMs that do not have to be the Chinese one.
To begin, therefore, we will have to download the file completely free of viruses and threats from this link. A process that starts by clicking on the download button and then continues with the need to install applications from unknown sources , in case we have not done so previously. In Xiaomi smartphones, we will also have to give an extra permission, by clicking on the button where we confirm that we are aware of the consequences that this installation may entail, but which we have verified will not affect the smartphone at all.
Then we will have the option to install the application called MiMoji from Xiaomi . A process that only consists of touching on install. Then it will ask us for an authorization in English to access the camera where you just have to touch “Ok”. Later, the classic Android permissions will appear, giving access to the camera, files to save the videos that we are going to create and the microphone.
With all this process completed, it is time to launch the Xiaomi MiMojis that are among our apps. In this case without the possibility of using them quickly from the keyboard as it happened in the iPhone.
All we can do with them
Once we launch the Xiaomi MiMojis application, the system will activate the facial recognition of our smartphone just by placing the face in front of our camera. Once the face is detected, the magic will begin with the different Xiaomi animations that are available. There are several that we can choose from, starting as a strong point with the Xiaomi mascot.
We will also be able to use a pig, fox, panda, monkey, dragon, fish, giraffe, robot, rabbit, goat and a final surprise emoji. All of them work identically, being able to retouch our eyes individually, the position of the face, as well as the gesture with the mouth. What you will not detect in any of them is the language.
To start creating your own content, just keep your finger pressed on the red button and a recording will start. In the video, not only will the movements of the face be captured through the MiMojis, but our voice will also be captured to shape the animation in a more complete and personalized way. Once the recording is created, we will see that we will be able to download the video or share it, modifying the voice by a female or male voice. The entire app is in English, but as you will see it is very easy to understand.
But not everything is ideal in this system, since we will not be able to easily share it in messaging applications and only in video or image format if we make a capture. This is not as worked as it happens in the iPhone.
On which mobiles can we install the MIUI MiMojis?
Contrary to what we may think, the MiMojis created by Xiaomi are accessible for any Android smartphone . Therefore, we do not need to have in our possession a smartphone from the Chinese firm or not even have MIUI. The developed technology works on all Android smartphones beyond the customization layer.
