The layers of customization of the different manufacturers offer alternatives to the native ones of Android to be able to perform an infinite number of functions. Samsung has been improving OneUI over time, with new functions and improving some more classic ones. The photographic section is important, and so are the options we have to take photos, such as Samsung’s method of taking photos showing the palm of the hand.
Little by little, the ways to take a photo with the mobile were increasing. From the possibility of touching a physical button, the easy screen, a shutter via Bluetooth or activating the timer, sometimes the imagination of the manufacturers goes beyond the expected. Samsung mobiles can activate some less known function than the previous ones, to take photos showing the palm of the hand.
Activate photos showing palm
With this function it is possible to take special photographs no matter where we or the mobile is. Just focus the camera, raise your palm, and the photo will be taken automatically. In this way, every time the camera detects that a palm of the hand is being shown for a few seconds , we will hear the shutter sound and how the photo was taken.
In order to activate the function, we will have to enter the camera and touch the gear that gives access to its settings. Then we will have to slide up to see more options. Once done we will have to touch on shooting methods. Finally, we will have to find the switch called “Show palm” and activate it so that the function is active.
Photos talking to mobile
In the same way, there is an additional method to take photos without touching the mobile. The option is to enter the same settings menu that we have seen previously. That is, we will enter the camera settings, touch on the gear and “Shooting methods”. The option is called “Voice control” and once activated, it will allow us to speak to the mobile phone to take photos or take a video. In this way, if we say “smile”, “potato”, “capture” or “shoot”, the mobile will take a photo, as long as we are within the camera interface. Additionally, if we say “Record videos” the video recording will start in the same way. We must bear in mind that the microphone of our mobile comes into play , so we will have to be at a sufficient distance or speak loud enough for the mobile to pick up our voice.
