After the different updates that the brand’s mobiles have gone through , sharing the Internet with a Samsung phone has changed, but the basis is usually the same, with subtle differences between the latest version of One UI 2.1, based on Android 10, and previous versions of the software.

Wi-Fi Sharing in One UI 2.1
Like many other layers of personalization, Samsung and One UI 2.1 allow you to turn your mobile phone into a portable modem with which to “nurture” connectivity to other devices. In other words, any mobile or device can be connected to your mobile as a Wi-Fi access point to take advantage of your rate data.
Doing it is as simple as accessing the Settings panel of your Samsung mobile and locating the Connections menu through which we connect to any network.
Here we must navigate to the bottom and select the intuitive option of shared connection and modem. Once inside we simply have to enable the corresponding button, give a name to the “Wi-Fi network” created and establish an access password and band type.
How do I log on?
Now, from any other device, you must activate the Wi-Fi connection and search for the Network that you have created with your Samsung mobile. Click on it, enter the password, and the terminal will use the data shared by your signature mobile instead of that of another network.
Internet sharing on Samsung with One UI 2.0 or earlier
This method that we have just named is quite similar in previous versions of software, except in One UI 2.0 , precisely the immediately previous version of the Korean company’s operating system.
Users working with the previous update have surely noticed that the Wi-Fi sharing option is missing from the connections menu from the quick configuration settings. The reason is none other than Samsung has removed the shortcut in this version, but the functionality itself has not disappeared.
To share Wi-Fi in One UI 2.0 based by long-holding the Mobile Hotspot switch and tapping the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen. Compared to the previous shortcut, in One UI 2.0 you will have to click on Wi-Fi Sharing in the drop-down menu to achieve the same.
