The new Prime Video Store is already a reality in our country and today we are going to explain how it works and what you should take into account.

A new online store is already at home online, or rather, by the vast universe of Amazon. This is the Prime Video Store -yes, that’s its official name-, a place in true Blockbuster style where you can buy or rent movies to enjoy instantly in a matter of a few minutes.

The truth is that this platform is new in Spain (and in four other countries: France, Italy, Canada and Australia.) But not in other countries where it has been operating for some time. This is the case, of course, in the United States or the United Kingdom, where the “store” section has been active for a long time, constituting yet another catalog for the user beyond the Prime Video content on demand service that we all know.

And it is that the best thing about this Store is that, obviously, it does not require you to be subscribed to Prime : you just have to access it, choose what you want to see and pay for it, as if you were making any other type of purchase from the Amazon showcase.

What content can be found?

One of the big questions that may arise is what kind of content are you going to find in this new store. As the company points out, in your showcase you will have access to thousands of titles, including the latest film releases and even documentaries and series that are available right now to see if you pay for Prime’s monthly subscription.

This does not mean that you will have access to all the series in the monthly subscription catalog, but it will mean many of them. At this time Amazon productions such as Fleabag or The Boys are not available, but the Spanish division ensures that they will be added and will also be rent or buy, as well as series from Mediaset Spain.

How to buy or rent in the Amazon Store

In case you are interested in taking a look and even buying or renting something, the steps to access are tremendously simple:

Enter the Amazon website and go (by clicking) to the three-line box on the left (the one that opens the drop-down menu).
Among the options that appear, select the first one, “Amazon Prime Video”.
Inside, click “All Videos”. You will enter the main page of Amazon Prime Video.
Look in the top bar “Store” and click on it.
You can now browse all the movies, series and documentaries that are currently available.

When you enter the tab of a title you will always see a brief synopsis, its score in IMDb, the genre it belongs to or even what audios and subtitles are available to see it. Then you will see various action buttons to interact:

See trailer : as its name indicates, it shows you the video preview of the title.
Rent HD (at a price): Lets you rent the movie. You will have 30 days to start watching it and 48 hours to finish it once you have started playing it.

More purchase options : by default the system will always offer you the best resolution (and the most expensive) that is HD, but you can also rent or buy in SD (Standard Definition).
