The DualSIM feature was once a rarity reserved for select select phones on the market, or those that were imported from China when brands like Huawei were in their infancy in the European market. Many Motorola mobiles support the ability to insert two SIM cards at the same time to manage two lines on the same phone.
Many users need to use a single terminal, worse to perfectly differentiate all those that arrive by the particular line or that of work. Others, however, have a dedicated line that only manages purchase and sale deals. Whatever the cause that leads you to have two SIM cards in your Motorola , here you can read how to manage them and modify some of their parameters.
Change DualSIM settings
Once the two SIM cards are inserted in the computers, the user should see two references to the network of both cards in the icons in the status bar. From that moment we can configure the profile of the cards. For this we will have to go to Settings / Internet and networks / SIM cards . Once inside we will have to select the option that best suits our needs:
Type of use
- Smart SIM card : the terminal will select the SIM automatically for voice calls based on the call history.
- Personal and work: use the SIM for personal voice calls and the other for business calls.
- Manual : Manually choose which SIM will be used for voice, data and SMS calls.
Change SIM profile
To change the profile type, we will have to stay in the same SIM card settings menu and tap on “Dual SIM usage profile”. Then we select a different profile and tap on Change Profile. Now it only remains to select the new profile and complete the steps marked on the screen to finish the process.
Change the name, color and everything of each SIM
By inserting two SIM cards, the user can see that they are referred to in the Contacts, Messages or Phone applications. The name of the SIM shows the operator, although if the profile “Personal and work” is being used, the profile to which it is assigned will be shown. In the same way, we can change the color of the SIM icon so that they can be better differentiated.
To do this and without leaving the SIM Cards menu, we tap on the SIM in which we want to make changes. Then we click on each option between “SIM name”: to change the name of a SIM card, “Color” to modify the tone that differentiates the card or “Ringtone” to select a specific tone from our gallery.
