As you well know, the Apple Watch has established itself as one of the most important smart watches on the market. More and more users are choosing to complement their Apple devices with one of these watches. There are many things about these watches that can be customized, such as reminders. In this post we will show you how you can customize charging reminders.
As we have said, one of the advantages of the Apple Watch is its great capacity for customization in many aspects. One of these aspects that you can customize, although it may not seem like it, is the charging reminders. You can configure them to arrive before bed, or not to arrive for a few days.
To start with the configuration, we are going to explain how you can configure all kinds of reminders. It is very simple and in just a few steps you can have the reminders that you most want. To do this, we are going to explain how to see the reminders that you already have configured in lists in a few steps:
- Open the Reminders app on Apple Watch.
- Touch a list to open it.
- Tap an item to mark it as completed.
- Touch < in the upper left corner to return to the list view.
- To see a list of completed reminders, tap the list, tap View Options, then tap Show Completed.
To see all completed reminders, tap the All list, tap View Options, then tap Show Completed.
Check the reminders you have configured
Once you have seen all the reminders that you already have configured, you have to know that you will be able to remove or deactivate them if you want to take a calmer day. Note that the Apple Watch, in addition to charging reminders, also has activity reminders, such as wake up reminders, which are activated every hour; daily training, where you will see notifications to meet activity goals and monthly challenges or activity notifications from your friends or acquaintances in the app.
If you want to turn off these notifications, you’ll need to open the Watch app on your iPhone, go to Notifications, and then Activity. Once here you have three options: the first is to choose Notifications off, which is used to deactivate all notifications. The second option is Send to the notification center, with which you can consult them later but they will not attract your attention. The third and last option is to disable some specific warnings, such as those mentioned above.
Create different reminders
Once you have configured the reminders that come on your watch, you have to know that you can create your own, as you like best and without needing any app or extra tool. If you want to set up specific reminders for anything that doesn’t appear on the Apple Watch itself, you have two different and very simple options to do so:
- Use Siri : Say something like, “Remind me to return the book to the library at 6 p.m.”
You can also use Siri to create a list on Apple Watch. You just have to say “Hey Siri, create a list of reminders” and configure it however you want.
- Create a reminder in the Reminders app: Scroll to the bottom of the Lists screen or a list and tap Add Reminder. Please note that you will not be able to assign a time or date to a reminder created this way.
Create lists and reorder them
For the convenience of your reminders, you can create lists with which to organize the notifications that are related to each other. In this way you will have notifications of the same type all saved in the same list so that it is easier for you to find and modify them. Plus, on the Apple Watch you set up for yourself, you can manage some aspects of reminders on the paired iPhone, including:
- Delete a reminder or list: Open the Reminders app on iPhone, tap the list that contains the reminder you want to delete, then swipe left on the reminder. To remove a list, swipe it to the left.
- Select a default list: If you create a new reminder outside of a list, it will be added to the default list. Open the iPhone Settings app and tap Reminders. Tap Default Playlist, then tap a playlist.
- Change the order of lists : Open the Reminders app on iPhone. Tap Edit, and then drag it to the new location.
You can share a list and collaborate with people who use iCloud. Shared lists show who has been assigned a reminder. The Apple Watch allows you to join a shared list, but not to share a list from the device itself. Keep in mind that in order to share the lists you will not be able to do it directly from your watch, but only from an iPhone.
How to customize charging reminders
In addition to customizing the activity reminders, you can also configure the charge reminders of your Apple Watch to your liking, to know when you are going to have to charge it and you can take it into account so that it does not run out of battery if you are away from home or in Some trip.
Customize the charging reminder to sleep
To customize this reminder, what you should do is go to the Apple Watch and go directly to its settings. Once inside, we look for the Sleep tab. Inside you will see that there are several options that can be configured, but the one that interests you is the Charge Reminders.
Activate this tab and voila. Now, the Apple Watch will notify you about 15 minutes before going to sleep about the battery you have and if it is advisable to charge the watch or not. But keep in mind that the time must be set by you. In case you have a low battery, it will notify you in advance so that you have time to charge the device without any problem. In fact, the clock usually warns when it is below 30% and there is less than an hour to go to sleep. Thanks to this option, you will never go to sleep with the battery of the clock at its minimum, you will always know for sure that it will last all night or as long as you are sleeping.
Remove charging reminders
If after trying this reminder, you have realized that you are not quite convinced, you will be able to remove it without problems, following a few simple steps. First, you’ll need to open the Watch app on your iPhone. Once there, go to the My watch tab, click on Sleep and you will see an option that says Battery. There you can disable charging reminders.
As you have seen, turning notifications on and off is quite simple on the Apple Watch. In addition, you can configure as many as you want, without limit, and of all kinds, from charging the clock to medical appointments. Undoubtedly, this watch is a very useful accessory so you don’t forget anything and manage your schedule well.
