Manufacturers are increasingly striving to polish their custom capes. Taking the native version of Android for a spin has become another battlefield. This can cause that on many occasions, a device can be more complicated depending on which user profile, such as the elderly or children. For this reason, the so-called “Easy Mode” (Simple Mode or Simple Mode) that everything on our mobile is seen more intuitively.
Many users get lost in both menu and sub-menu, when in fact, they use the same functions on a daily basis. This user profile does not usually enter the most advanced settings of the mobile or frequently changes the wallpaper. In this way, the Easy Mode that the different manufacturers integrate, allows only what is really important or those functions such as calls, messages, the camera or contacts to be on the screen.
The Easy Mode in the different manufacturers
The good news is that many manufacturers integrate their own Easy Mode or Simple Mode. Not so many years ago, being able to activate such a mode depended solely on third-party applications. Fortunately, many layers of customization from manufacturers such as Samsung, Xiaomi or Huawei, have this function. Let’s take a look at each and every one of them and how to activate it.
Easy Mode on Samsung
As you might expect, Samsung’s Easy Mode uses a simpler screen layout, making screen elements larger. To activate it we will have to slide a finger up or down to access the applications screen. Then we enter Settings and touch Screen. Now we will see the option “Easy Mode” . When we select it, we will see that simple design and the screen zoom will be activated to the maximum, with larger icons. To deactivate the mode we touch on “Standard mode”
Easy Mode on Xiaomi
Xiaomi and more specifically MIUI, also has its own easy mode, which in this case they call “Lite Mode”. Whatever it is called, the option has the same objective, that is, it simplifies the interface and makes the icons larger and the text larger. To activate lite mode we must go to Settings and enter “Special functions” . Once inside we will see the option and we can click on the button to activate it. To exit the mode we will have to perform the same steps, and we will see the “Deactivate lite mode” button.
Easy Mode on Huawei
In this case, Huawei calls it “Simple Mode”, but it is the same concept of simplified screen, large icons and reduced functions. To activate it, we will have to access the System Settings, and go down until we find the “Simple Mode” option. Once inside, we will see a message that tells us that the main screen will have a simpler design and that both the icons and the texts will be larger. Then we will have to click on the blue button that says “Enable”. Tapping on the Settings, we will see the function to exit simple mode.
If your mobile does not have “Simple mode”
If your mobile does not have this possibility natively, you can always poll among the best third-party tools to activate a simple mode. Google Play is full of applications of this style . Just take a look by installing one of them to find the one that best suits what we are looking for.
