How TikTok will improve with AI

Among the plethora of social platforms available today, TikTok has gained popularity among users of all age groups. It offers a diverse range of video content, appealing to both the young and the old. And soon, its content will be further enhanced by the integration of Artificial Intelligence.

Whether accessed through mobile devices or desktop computers, TikTok allows us to watch and engage with video publications from our favorite TikTokers. Users, including ourselves, can utilize the official Android or iOS application to create and share our own content on this platform. This feature has been one of the key factors contributing to its widespread success.

As expected, the TikTok team continuously releases updates to improve user experience and introduce new features. In line with this, the platform’s owners are reportedly working on developing their own chatbot, aiming to compete with ChatGPT. This move aligns with the growing trend of AI platforms expanding their reach and catering to various user demographics and businesses. TikTok’s chatbot, named Grace, will join the ranks of other companies embarking on similar projects.

In the realm of social media, rumors have surfaced about an upcoming AI chatbot with 30 distinct personalities on Instagram. Microsoft, too, has unveiled its intelligent platform, Co-pilot, which caters to widely used products like Microsoft 365, Bing, and Edge. Now, it is reported that ByteDance, the parent company of TikTok, is actively developing its own AI chatbot, codenamed Grace. While specific details on how this integration will impact the video-sharing social network are scarce, it is certain that both content creators and consumers will benefit from an improved experience.

This internal project signifies ByteDance’s intention to incorporate AI technology into TikTok. Additionally, the company is working on developing its own language models. Furthermore, reports indicate that TikTok is also developing another chatbot named Tako, which is currently focused on instant messaging and providing prompt answers to user queries. Grace, on the other hand, is expected to offer a more comprehensive set of capabilities.

Considering that AI technologies like ChatGPT are not accessible in China, it appears that companies in the country are increasingly investing in this field. We eagerly await official announcements from TikTok regarding the contributions that AI, particularly Grace, will bring to the platform.
