Many of these functions are hidden or less in plain sight than might be expected, as is the case with OSIE Vision Effect, a function that can be activated on Realme mobiles.
And it is true that in many cases, more modest hardware can offer better results, as long as the processing work is done optimally. That is why AI reached mobile phones a few years ago , to go a step beyond what mobile phones can obtain by itself, enhancing many of its capabilities. In Realme’s case, OSIE Vision is one of the best examples to explain it.
What is this technology and how does it work
The name of OSIE, refers to “Object & Semantic Images & Eye-tracking”. That is, we are facing a function carried out by Artificial Intelligence , which allows to enrich the user interface of realme mobiles, improving the textures and colors in both images and videos of those applications that are compatible. This means, as we see in the GIF below these lines, that images can be brighter, clearer, more vivid and colorful.
To be able to activate it
Note that the OSIE vision effect is generally disabled by default . Therefore, it would have to be manually enabled to enjoy this best viewing experience. In order to activate it we will have to go to the following route:

Once the function is enabled, we will have to open the smart sidebar by sliding our finger from the right side of the screen in portrait mode, or from the upper wall if we are in landscape mode. Now we must touch on add and then mark the Vision OSIE effect from the selection of quick tools. Then we start the compatible application and open the smart sidebar to finally touch OSIE Vision.
Aspects to consider
It should be borne in mind that this technology is still under development and that it will soon be compatible with more applications. It is the first visual effects optimization software for short video images. This means that it can be experienced in applications that use this style such as Instagram or TikTok, although it is also compatible with services such as Prime Video. However, as Realme itself warns, the battery life could be affected after activating the function. This means that the user must assess whether it is worth it, or even activate or deactivate it when necessary.
