There are many land, marine or air vehicles that have evolved a lot thanks to the development of technology. There are many implementations that give better performance to these vehicles such as higher speed, less fuel consumption and less pollution that they produce. Several companies are also beginning to develop futuristic vehicles such as Joby Aviation, which has already tested its prototype “air taxi” for future use.
This company is one of the companies that has been developing this type of air vehicle for the longest time and its model has carried out many flight tests. In addition, it is one of the first electric helicopters to have an air navigator for military use. This company owns other companies so they have a huge amount of money to make this project a reality.
“Air taxis” that pollute less
In fact, they have already signed agreements to build platforms on the roofs of different buildings on which these aircraft could both take off and land. For now, this project could only be seen in the United States.
In addition, the company wants to get fully into the carbon credits that will make vehicles less polluting, more ecological and contribute to improving the environment, using electricity and hydrogen.
This is one of the keys to these new vehicles: the use of electric batteries as one of the energy sources to run all the systems, since they recharge and do not have to be disposed of, and they do not pollute.
Several companies have already joined with Joby Aviation to contribute to a future in which airplanes do not pollute and all the trips they make are clean , contributing to the use of sustainable energy sources and leaving aside fossil fuels that are most harmful to environment. They also invite other airlines to join this new ecological project.
Flight tests are a success
Joby Aviation has published a video of one of its tests in which, although you can only see basic things such as a smooth take-off, landing, flight or how the aircraft brakes, it is nice to see and see how well a vehicle works which at first glance might seem very futuristic.
This type of electric helicopter should be used as an alternative to the air vehicles that exist today, since these “air taxis” do not pollute and work with electric batteries, not with fuel.
Even so, it is not necessary to rule out that the conventional airplanes and helicopters that we know today will disappear, but that all these aerial vehicles can coexist together.
