The Honor event that was set for today, August 12, has finally removed us from doubts and has let us see the new smartphones that will be part of the new Magic3 series from the Asian firm. In addition, we have finally been able to discover what the brand has prepared for us with its new terminals.
After a long wait, we already know each of the details that the new Honor Magic3, Magic3 Pro and Magic3 Pro + from the Asian firm will bring us.
The news of the Honor Magic3 Series
The Honor Magic3 Series come with the Snapdragon 888+ 5G processor, as assured by Fang Fei, president of the Honor product line. In addition, they will have an IP68 water protection certificate, although the standard model is IP54 certified. And of course, one of the most desired features is that these new smartphones will have Google, that is, they will have all its services.
The three models will have the same inches in their panels as well as some sides that are capable of offering us a curvature of 89 degrees . And along with these details, we find a QHD + resolution (2772 x 1334 pixels), a refresh rate of 120 Hz, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and HDR10 +.
However, in the case of the Pro + version we find the glass, called ” nano glass ” by Honor, with which it gains greater protection against its younger brothers. In addition to its rear finish is ceramic, giving it that premium touch that many wanted.
Another important difference is that the Pro and Pro + versions are equipped with enhanced security capabilities, thanks to their 3D ToF front camera and 3D Face ID face unlock, in order to ensure a high level of security when using facial recognition to access to the terminal. On the other hand, the front camera is composed of two sensors that come in a notch on the screen, in which an ultra-wide angle of 100 degrees of vision range with 13 megapixels is integrated.
To lend a hand to the processor, we find the OS Turbo X system. Basically, we are before a technology that is designed to greatly reduce the response times of smartphones. In addition, there are also other improvements for its performance thanks to the GPU Turbo X technology . In addition, Honor has also improved its technology to offer us connectivity at other levels, since these phones will use the technology called Link Turbo X to accelerate transfers.
These terminals support 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 6 in the 2.4 and 5 GHz bands, and have NFC. So by combining all those bandwidths they can achieve up to 6.1 Gbps of download transfer peak. And all three models will feature Magic 5.0 and Android 11 .
In the audio reproduction, we will enjoy stereo speakers with Super Bass support and with the integration of the DTS-X algorithm. Although, without a doubt, the most striking thing is the IMAX Enhanced certification, which will guarantee its users a better sound experience. Also, this Magic3 series will enable cinema-quality LUT (Look Up Table) video capabilities and Magic Log, in order to enhance color tones and visual effects with HDR clarity.
As for the internal battery of this new Honor series, the three models have a capacity of 4,600 mAh. Although, the most relevant is that the wired fast charging support is 66 W, while the wireless charging will have 50 W provided by the Wireless SuperCharge system. And as a differentiating point, the Pro and Pro + are accompanied by reverse charging technology.
Magic3 Features
The Magic3 Pro will come with a 6.76-inch AMOLED screen that also has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. As for its colors, we find a Magic 3 that we can buy in up to four colors: Blue Hour, Golden Hour , Black and White. Another important point is that it will have Magic UI 5.0 based on Android 11. And under its hood, we find a Snapdragon 888+ processor. As for its rear, we come across a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 64-megapixel monochrome sensor, a 13-megapixel wide-angle and laser focus.
All about the Magic3 Pro
Among the specifications of the Magic3 Pro, it should be noted that it also has a 6.76-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2,772 x 1,344 pixels and 5G connectivity. Nor can we forget another important aspect, and that is that they will have Magic UI 5.0 running above Android 11 . And to bring it to life, we also find the powerful Snapdragon 888+ processor.
And on its back, we find and a quad camera that has a 50-megapixel main sensor with an aperture of f / 1.9, a 64-megapixel f / 1.8 monochrome sensor, a 13-megapixel f / 2.2 wide-angle, a telephoto sensor. 64 megapixel f / 3.5 with 100x zoom and 8×8 TOF.
Although one of the great differences with respect to the standard model is in its telephoto sensor that will offer us better results since this periscope sensor will be able to achieve a 10x and 100x hybrid zoom thanks to the digital zoom. In addition, it will have different colors: Black, White and Golden Hour.
Magic3 Pro +, Honor’s “top” mobile
The older brother of this series from the Asian firm differs from the standard and Pro models due to the material and design , as it will be available in Ceramic Black and Ceramic White. In addition, it is in its photographic section where it makes a real differentiating leap with respect to the other models that have been presented.
As we said, we are facing a terminal that is accompanied by a 50 megapixel main camera with an aperture f / 1.9 and optical stabilization and a super wide angle of 64 megapixels f / 2.2. We also find a 64-megapixel monochrome sensor with f / 1.8 aperture. And finally, a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with an f / 3.5 aperture with OIS. The latter will be able to give us a 3.5x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom.
Price of the new Magic3
This new generation of the firm, which has been officially presented globally, does not yet have an arrival date in Spain. However, we already know how much it will cost us to get hold of a model from this new Honor series. In addition, it is important to note that each model only has one configuration available .
