Xiaomi‘s decision that delayed the arrival of MIUI 13 left us with the presentation of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, a definitive version of Xiaomi’s cape. However, until now we have not had much news of this version for the European market, Spain and ultimately outside of China.
Now through various methods, we know the option that already exists to update some Xiaomi with the special and most important version of MIUI 12.5. But the first dates of the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition global update are also known, which promises to bring us even more functions and fixes.
We show you the two methods that we have at our disposal so far to get hold of those versions and the smartphones that can or will enjoy it.
Get ahead of the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update
The first option we chose to get this new MIUI 12.5 that arrives loaded with bug fixes and performance improvements . In this case with a method that is based on installing the Xiaomi EU ROM on our smartphone, which is translated from the Chinese ROM. It is not a definitive or official version that can ensure its correct financing, but nevertheless it has been giving good results for many years and making us see in first person with a Spanish translation everything that is to come.

A process that requires a series of steps, among which we are going to start by unlocking the bootloader of our Xiaomi and with this we will lose the official guarantee. For that reason, this method is only recommended for experienced users. Then we have to install the Recovery TWRP, from where we are going to access the ROMs that we are going to download from Source Forge with MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, for the moment for these models:
- Xiaomi Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra
- Xiaomi Mi 11i
- Xiaomi Mi 10
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra
- Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro
- LITTLE F3
- POCO F2 Pro
When will the improved version of MIUI 12.5 arrive?
On the other hand, if we do not want to choose to complicate ourselves, we can always wait. The performance with MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition already has dates and first confirmed models away from China. As published in the Xiaomi forum, the devices that will enjoy all the corrections and extras are the following:
- Xiaomi Mi 11
- Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra
- Xiaomi Mi 11i
- Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 10T
- Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro
- Xiaomi Mi 10
The update will begin to be implemented through the Global ROM and in many other countries from the fourth quarter. So we will have to wait until at least the month of October for that version to reach the mentioned smartphones unless we opt for the first method.
