In Google Photos you can summarize your year in a very special and automatic way to relive the best of each of the days that make up the year, and best of all, you can do it easily with a video function provided by the app.

Remember your best days of the year
With the Smiles feature , Google Photos shows a video with the photos in which you are seen smiling all year long so that you remember those moments when you are happy, having a great time or having good times. It can be from the first day to the last, or any other, since the app intelligently selects them.
To be able to see this video you just have to wait for Google to send you the notification. Once you use it, it will choose the best automatic photos to show them in this video with music that lasts approximately one minute and you can share with your friends, family or whoever you want.
You can find the function itself in the Google Photos app and I will tell you how to do it:
- Open Google Photos
- Go search
- Select the creations option, Saved Creations
- Down, press where it says New creation
- Select Movie
- Scroll down the screen and look for the option A year of smiles
- Click on Create a movie
- It will notify you that it will take a while and will send you a notification when it is ready
After a short time you will receive a notification on your mobile when the new movie has been created
Edit the video to personalize it even more
If you come across photos that you don’t like because they didn’t turn out well , there are people you don’t want to remember, or you prefer to personalize the video, you can edit it. You can change the images, filters and music if you want, although the tool usually does a general job.
You only have to click on the edit icon when playing the video to make the appropriate changes. There are many filters, animations, songs and photos in which you smile. You will only have to use the editor in each of the images to insert clip, duplicate or remove . If you click aspect ratio next to the playback bar you can set it vertically or horizontally.
In music, you can choose a source, music themes or select without music. If you click on add photos and videos you can add new content. When you have finished editing, you can save and it will be updated with the changes you have incorporated.
Whether you want to make changes or not, just below where the content appears you will have the option to share . Press on it and you can do it through Telegram, WhatsApp, social networks and other services that you have on your mobile that allow it, and of course with Google Photos.
