Gears of War could be back like you can't imagine

Microsoft has also been a protagonist in recent days for this decision to carry out thousands of layoffs that have affected the departments in charge of developing some of the exclusive Xbox franchises. And without yet knowing the extent of that move at The Coalition, all we can assume is that the Gears of War franchise is more alive than ever. And for many reasons.

Gears of War

More Gears of War are back

It was known to all that the sixth installment of the saga has been underway for a long time, so it should not surprise us that news of the new Gears of War appears, which will be in charge of continuing the plot developed in the title of September 2019 and that it had with a particularity, since it let us choose the ending that we wanted within its argument. That leaves you up in the air to imagine where the shots of this continuation will go.

Well, we don’t know if it will be a sign that things are going very well and we could have great news soon, that an image has appeared on the internet in which you can see what the Gears of War 6 logo could look like, which I would resume the habit of calling the game Gears 6 to dry. Without more decorations or taglines that often make the simplest video games unpronounceable.

Now, not only has that logo of a possible Gears 6 appeared, but it also seems that Microsoft wants to recover the old Xbox 360 releases but improved, remastered and adapted to the hardware of the new Xbox Series X | S, just as it did in 2015 with the glorious original title programmed by Epic Games and with Cliff Bleszinski at the helm.

Logos Gears of War.

Ultimate Edition for everyone

Indeed, parallel to that Gears 6 logo, another has appeared which is the Gears Ultimate Collection that would contain some of the Gears of War releases most remembered by fans. Although there is no specific data, some insiders specialized in The Coalition saga affirm emphatically that in this pack we will find the first four games of the franchise that arrived between 2006 and 2013 for Xbox 360, above all, and Xbox One. If you do not remember what they are, it’s about Gears of War , Gears of War 2 , Gears of War 3 , and Gears of War Judgment .

These releases would arrive, as in the case of other remasters, with improved graphics, a higher refresh rate, the possibility of enjoying them for the first time in real 4K and, of course, with some extra functions adapted to the new tastes of the gamers of the new generation.

Release dates? Nobody has advanced anything but several alternatives are being speculated: in the case of Gears 6 an announcement in 2023 to finish launching it in 2025 for Xbox Series X | S and, in the case of the remastered game pack , shorten the wait a bit more with an announcement this same year with a view to a launch as early as 2024. In any case, these would be exclusive titles that we will not have immediately available on our brand new next-gen consoles. A pity.
