In most Android phones we find several methods to try to empty the memory of our mobile, although in Realme things are more complicated than we would like. For now Realme UI does not have an advanced cleaner that helps us empty the memory of Realme mobiles as other manufacturers do and this forces us to look for alternative solutions or do it manually with the steps that we show you.
Regardless of whether you have Realme UI 2.0 as well as the previous version, the steps will be identical, therefore any Realme smartphone can follow these methods. Once the insufficient memory message appears on Realme mobiles or when we check that the memory is full, it is convenient that we follow these steps if we do not want to start encountering unwanted situations. In case these options are not enough for us, we can always look for alternatives beyond Realme and rely on Android memory freeing methods.
Manually free up memory in Realme
The simplest and fastest option to get extra memory space in Realme is based on accessing your options and trying to free up storage space in Realme . We can do this with these steps: Settings> Additional settings> Storage. From here it will allow us to enter several sections among which we find images, video, audio, documents or even APK. We will be able to enter each one of them to proceed to check the elements and erase from Realme’s memory all those that we no longer need on the mobile.
To delete images and videos, we recommend doing it from the mobile gallery itself. We will only have to choose those photos that are sent to us by WhatsApp, the memes or the photographs that for one reason or another we no longer need and press the delete button. Afterwards, they will be sent to the trash, where they remain for about 30 days in case we want to recover them, later they will be deleted forever, something that we can also do manually to speed up the process of freeing up space.
Clear temporary files and unnecessary memory
The only automatic way to erase items from memory on Realme mobiles is within the “Security Center” tool that appears on the brand’s smartphones among all its apps. We just have to tap on the blue button and it will automatically start to check the memory that can be erased from the device.
Finally when completing it, we will be deleting small images, files from the cache or ultimately aspects that have not been eliminated when, for example, uninstalling an application or deleting photos, videos or files.
Free up memory in Realme with your computer
The best and most practical tool to free up space on Realme mobiles is undoubtedly the computer. By simply connecting the mobile phone to the computer through a USB cable and entering Settings> Other wireless connections, we can activate the option “Share data via USB”. The computer will then allow us to choose between the files on the smartphone folder by folder.
This method is ideal for saving mobile photos, which are located in “Images” or “DCIM”. We will just have to select them with the mouse and move them to a folder on the computer. To avoid failures, we recommend that you first proceed to copy all the desired photos and videos to the PC, then delete them on the mobile manually and thus we do not demand so much from both devices.
