The Chinese manufacturer encounters a new problem in Xiaomi and Redmi mobiles around the world, an error that we may have detected if we have restarted the mobile. Many other users may not notice it yet, but it will be a matter of time before it affects them sooner or later.
When it appears, the latest update of the Xiaomi launcher arrives with an unexpected error that has already started to make people talk on social networks such as Twitter and in the most popular forums. Many users throw their hands at their heads because after turning off and on their Xiaomi, the themes are erased and the icons change places without having done anything different from what we have been doing.
The Xiaomi launcher loads the MIUI 12 themes
With the arrival of the latest update to the well-known Xiaomi launcher, the errors have started to appear, causing whatever our theme is, to be eliminated. At first, users thought that it was a problem with the subject in question, but later the error has appeared in more models and above all, also showing changes in the icons.
This Xiaomi error that can be very annoying only appears when restarting the mobile, that is why some have already noticed the problem and others have not. The mobile cache generated by the launcher is capable of storing the changes, but when the mobile is turned off they are deleted. This has left us in a difficult situation with MIUI 12 and for now the problem is unknown in previous versions of the system. The error should not last long, being solved with a launcher update. The solution to the problem so that themes and icons are not deleted
As we have done on other occasions, avoiding the problem will only consist of going to that version in which everything worked well and with which Xiaomi had not yet made the mistake. However, we must also prevent the mobile from updating automatically, or rather the MIUI system apps update themselves.
Disable app updates in MIUI 12
- We enter the System Settings.
- We touch on System application Updater.
- Click on the options wheel.
- In automatic updates we choose the option “Cannot update”.
Install the launcher without problems
Once the previous step has been performed, it is time to return the launcher to the previous version that worked correctly, where the problem with the Xiaomi themes and icons did not exist. We must do this from the mobile to make it easier. You just have to follow the following steps:
- We access the following link with the Xiaomi launcher APKs .
- We go down to the first version of February and select it.
- We download it on the mobile.
- Then we enter the file explorer, choose it and install it.
With these steps our mobile will continue to work without problems, the themes will not be deleted and the apps will not change position either. After a few weeks we can reactivate the updates with the first steps that we teach you and the error will have been resolved.
