The First News of MIUI 13 for Xiaomi Mobiles Leaked

We are not going to surprise when we say that software developers always have one eye on their work and another on what their competition does. That is why iOS mimics Android functions and vice versa, EMUI of One UI and vice versa and, now, Xiaomi seems to be inspired by ColorOS of OPPO to give life to some of the new functions of MIUI 13 .

MIUI 12, despite its problems, is still being implemented in most devices of the Chinese firm but that does not mean that Xiaomi is not already working on the development of the next version of its operating system that should arrive sooner rather than later. as MIUI 13. This new software of the brand will not reach the global market until next year but, as usual, some of its novelties are already beginning to leak.

First News of MIUI 13 for Xiaomi Mobiles

MIUI 13 first changes

Although there will still be, more or less, a little more than 6 months for MIUI 13 to be officially presented, images and videos about the new features of the operating system have begun to be filtered on different Chinese social networks. And it seems that we are going to have many new features that will affect the interface of the future version of MIUI.

Without going any further, as can be seen in this tweet, the user Enes Keskin shared on Telegram what he says is the new animation of the power menu for MIUI 13.

The clip shows that the power menu will in the future have a slider to work on when turning off or restarting our phone when we press the off button. User can drag up to restart the device or drag down to turn it off. Currently on devices running MIUI 12, when the power button is held down, the power menu covers the entire screen and displays four buttons: Airplane Mode, Mute, Restart, and Power off.

This new MIUI 13 power menu does not cover the entire screen, but it seems to render the screen unusable when it appears. On paper it seems to us a delay rather than an advance because it leaves out two shortcuts as useful as they are to set the airplane mode and the option to silence the phone. Of course, at this point it is still too early to know if this redesigned power menu will reach the final stable version when the future version of MIUI 13 is announced but it allows us to see the path that Xiaomi is going to follow when it comes to redesigning its operating system.
