Update mobile
The first solution is to update the mobile, or at least check that we do not have any pending patch. To check it we go to Settings / System / System Updates. If everything goes well, after the update the sensor will be faster and will respond better to our finger.
Clean the button
Sharing use with the power button, the fingerprint sensor has a much higher use than the rear sensors or those integrated in the screen. Being a physical sensor, it has a good chance of being more sensitive to dirt and grease from our fingers. In this same sense, there are covers whose cutout for the button is too small . This causes the sensor to be unable to correctly read the fingerprint data. It is easy to find cases or covers that have the full width of the case open to avoid this problem.

A poor initial fingerprint configuration will undoubtedly cause intermittent reading problems. The solution is to go to the security settings and register our fingerprint again and try again. In a large part of the cases it is the appropriate solution.
