Samsung has chosen Nigeria to launch its new cheap mobile phone with Android GO. The successor to the Galaxy A2 Core that was announced last year is an entry-level smartphone that once again works with Android GO as the operating system and that sports a price tag closer to 50 than to 100 euros at the exchange.

These types of phones are intended for a very specific market, which is why they are launched in developing markets at such a low price. However, that does not mean that mobile phones cannot reach our country, where the market for devices running Android GO has a small gap among users.

Features of Samsung’s new cheap mobile
The Galaxy A3 Core is a mobile with a vintage flavor. Given its price, we cannot expect a mobile with multi-cameras, narrow bezels, fingerprint sensors on the screen (or anywhere else) or any other “premium” design feature. This is a classic 16: 9 aspect ratio phone with quite thick bezels compared to other phones. In front, the protagonism is for a 5.3-inch TFT LCD screen that has an HD + resolution (1480 x 720). The phone is made of plastic and on the back it shows off a textured polycarbonate in blue, black and red.
Samsung’s cheap smartphone has an unknown quad-core processor running at 1.5 GHz and is paired with 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. At least it is appreciated that the brand has left space to insert a dedicated MicroSD card slot that allows us to add up to an additional 512 GB of storage.

In the photographic department, the phone has a 5MP camera with f / 2.4 aperture on the screen, while the rear part has a single 8MP camera and an f / 2.2 aperture that is accompanied by an LED flash. Samsung claims that this rear sensor has a digital zoom of up to 4x and can record FHD videos at 30 fps, something that is not bad at all if we do not lose perspective of the price range in which we work.
As we have already said, this Samsung Galaxy A3 Core runs Android Go, but Samsung does not let us know what version it is. We assume Pie but we don’t put our hand in the fire. The smartphone is completed with a 3,000 mAh battery with support for MicroUSB charging, support for two SIM cards, an audio connector, GPS, LTE and Bluetooth 5.0.
Samsung’s Android GO mobile is on sale in the African country for a price of 65 euros.
