When is it launched on the market?
The new Age of Empires IV will arrive in stores at the end of 2021, so we will have it in time to spend Christmas locked up at home immersed in the campaigns of the new civilizations. At the moment it has not been specified exactly when we can buy it, so get the idea that you could do it both in October and December, so a little more patience and we will leave doubts. What civilizations are there?
The game will launch with a total of 8 civilizations, however, future updates may include new groups in order to expand the options and increase the gameplay. Four of them have been discovered in today’s event, so for now we know half. They are as follows:
- Chinese civilization : Equipped with gunpowder, they are a civilization with great destructive power. His system of dynasties will provide unique and tremendously striking benefits with which to develop different strategies in the middle of the game.
- English civilization : Maximum exponents of military power. Archers, castles, defensive buildings and a very powerful food economy allow them to be a defensive power to bring to life an empire that is extremely difficult to topple.
- Mongolian civilization : One of the new ones that come with the game and especially striking, since it is a nomadic civilization. This allows them to move their buildings to misplace the enemy or take advantage of resources elsewhere when an area has already been exploited.
- Civilization of the Delhi Sultanate : They are the most technological. They have great research resources, and they are able to build their wonder (the mosque) from scratch.
There are 4 other civilizations to discover, so we will have to be attentive to new events to find out.

The first thing that will enter your eyes is the new and evident 4K resolution , which will offer HDR effects that will look spectacular in those configurations with compatible screens. The maps will be generated randomly so that civilizations do not always have the same advantages, and it will be there where players must demonstrate their skills, since each civilization will have its own characteristics and mechanics.
During the games we will discover new mechanics , such as the possibility of attacking from the top of the walls of your fortress, or hiding your patrols in the forest to surprise enemy exploration teams. This last function will be especially striking and interesting, since the units will remain hidden and our enemy will not be able to see us.
