Movistar Plus+ is a comprehensive platform that offers a multitude of options and features to enjoy its content on TV through the operator’s decoder or by installing the Movistar app on a Smart TV. However, users can also take full advantage of this service using their mobile phones, accessing a variety of features and functions.
Apart from streaming content while away from home, the Movistar app allows users to manage their devices and even control the live broadcast being aired on the decoder or TV. The app provides various functions to cater to the diverse needs of users, enhancing their viewing experience and convenience. Manage devices
While the Movistar Plus+ app doesn’t allow direct device management, users can still access this feature by visiting the application’s website. By logging in with their Movistar account, users can manage the devices associated with their account, regardless of whether they have a Movistar Plus+ Lite account or are subscribed to a package with the operator. This functionality allows users to easily manage and control their devices, even when they are not at home.
The steps we must follow to manage the devices are:
- Open the Movistar Plus+ application
- Go to the three lines at the bottom center of the application
- At the bottom you will see “My account”, “Settings” and “Help”
- Tap on “My account”
By clicking on the link provided in the Movistar Plus+ app, we will be redirected to a web page where we can easily manage the devices linked to our account. On this page, we will see a list of all the devices that we have linked, including the type of device (such as PC or mobile), and the date and time it was linked. There are also two icons that allow us to edit or delete any of the linked devices if needed.
For those who want to improve their security and privacy, there is a “log out of all devices” button located at the top of the page. This allows us to easily log out of all devices linked to our account with just one click.
Control playback
Similarly, we can also control the real-time playback of content from this section of the app. The process is the same as described earlier: open the app, tap on “my account”, and navigate to the linked devices section. Here, we can check if any of the linked devices are playing a live channel at that moment. The app will display a message indicating which device is playing which channel. From our mobile, we can stop the playback by tapping on the “stop” button.
Upon tapping the stop button, a window will appear asking for confirmation to stop the playback on the device. We need to confirm by tapping the corresponding button, and the playback will stop remotely.
Manage profiles
With the Movistar Plus+ app, we have the option to manage the profiles on our streaming platform. This includes creating new profiles or editing the ones we already have. The process is simple and can be done within the app itself.
- We touch on the three lines at the bottom
- A drop down menu will open
- Tap on the top and choose the profile
- Here you will see the profiles already created
- At the bottom, choose between “new profile” or “edit profiles”
- Tap on “New profile”
- Choose an avatar from all the available options
- Write a name in the corresponding box
- Decide whether or not it is a child profile
When you have it, simply tap on “ create ”. You can also delete or edit any profile you already have created in Movistar Plus+ from the application.
Using the mobile phone to manage our Movistar Plus+ account offers us many benefits, including the convenience of being able to control devices and playback remotely.
