In the year 2020, a laptop appeared by surprise that did not want to become the home of emulators and ROMs downloaded from the internet, but rather set a kind of new standard for publishing collections of classic games from all eras inside old-fashioned cartridges. . Evercade was the name of that machine and now we have its improved version. One that they have surnamed EXP.
More compact and with better design
It is clear to Blaze Entertainment that they have hit the nail on the head with their Evercade system. If in 2020 we had the first portable model, a few months ago they announced the VS variant that works as a desktop console that we can connect to the TV to play doubles with friends with those collections of cartridges in which an average of ten titles are stored classics in the history of video games.
With success behind them, they did not want to let the formula die and that is why they have announced the arrival of an Evercade EXP, which will once again be portable and will replace the 2020 model: the same screen size but higher resolution, higher image quality, more RAM, a significantly more powerful processor and a more compact design than that of the original model that, seen in perspective, now seems more spartan and less careful than we remembered.

This Evercade system has the grace that the games do not run from a microSD or digitally in an online store, but rather return to the old custom of cartridges. How could it be otherwise, they are compatible with all existing Evercade models, so if you have the 2020 machine you can continue using them with this EXP without problems and fatten up your collection with new acquisitions.
a fun difference
Like the Evercade they have collections of games (close to 30 with 300 titles in total… and counting) organized by developer companies, characters or consoles like Atari, Interplay, Irem, Taito, Namco, Atari Lynx, Dizzy, Data East, etc. Old shooters and arcade games that were originally played with the screen vertical appear inside it, so this model will be able to reorient it to enjoy them just as their creators conceived it at the time.
This mode is especially interesting for those whose main focus of entertainment is on those shooters with these Evercades and, proof of that passion, is that with the EXP model starter pack, a cartridge of Irem , famous for shooters like R , will be included. -Type or In the Hunt, with six titles, some of which will be compatible with this screen in vertical mode.

If you want to buy this new Evercade EXP model, you’ll have to wait a bit longer because it won’t arrive until the end of the year . Of course, the price is already known, which will be 149.99 euros for the normal pack, although later we will have the option of acquiring the console in black, as a limited edition, with extras such as key chains, prints, two game packs ( Toaplan and Irem), a hard cover for the console, a double-sided poster and certificates of authenticity for just over 211 euros.
