Do you want to buy an iPad now? These are its new prices

Just a week ago we were in the middle of the Apple Event, in a keynote in which it was not expected to see new iPads even though their releases were scheduled for these months. However, two new Apple tablets were presented and with this others were withdrawn from the market. But was there a price change? How is the iPad catalog now? We analyze it.

The iPads that said goodbye last week

buy an iPad now

Buying an 8th generation iPad or a 5th generation iPad mini from Apple is impossible now. With the arrival of their successors, these tablets left the company’s catalog. Of course, this does not mean that it cannot be purchased outside of Apple, since there are several providers that still have stock of these devices and probably offer it at very attractive prices. In fact, if you buy it outside, you can continue to enjoy a warranty with Apple during the first year according to what European laws establish.

iPad mini 2021 with price change

And here comes the bad news and that is, indeed, the iPad mini has risen in price compared to its predecessor. The 5th generation model that we referred to earlier, was launched in 2019 and since then its price has remained at 449 euros. However, the redesigned iPad mini can now be purchased from 549 euros in its 64 GB WiFi version. It also offers the possibility of being acquired with capacities of 256 GB, as well as WiFi + Cellular versions that allow you to contract a data rate for it.

The iPad 9 rises in price in some versions

This range of tablets is characterized by being Apple’s most popular thanks to the fact that it is the most economical. With the 9th generation iPad there is no exception and it continues to start from the same price of 379 euros , although in this case with an advantage over its predecessor, since it has a base storage of 64 GB as opposed to 32 GB that the other had. Of course, it also increases the maximum capacity going from 128 GB to 256 GB and there we do see a price increase going from 479 euros to 549 in the case of the WiFi version and from 619 to 689 euros in the WiFi + Cellular.

The other iPads remain intact

Looking at the full iPad price list, we cannot forget about the rest of the ranges. The iPad Air and iPad Pro continue to offer the same price as the day of their respective releases (September 2020 and April 2021). So we can see the ‘Air’ from 649 euros in its 64 GB WiFi versions and the ‘Pro’ for 879 euros in the case of the 11-inch model with 128 GB and 1,199 euros for the 12.9-inch in identical capacity.
